Im just starting to get into this poster thing...I have framed 4...have 3 still in tubes..now im wondering if I should frame them or buy a portfolio and put them in it....
I know im going to buy more...framing each one becomes very expensive..and I only have so much wall space...If I go the portfolio route...any suggestions

frame...unless you're planning to sell 'em later
but if it was me, always frame....just get it out of the way. Its an art purchase...not a portfolio filler
That is one bad ass video... You have a great collection, I really enjoyed seeing it animated.
You must have had a blast going to all those shows especially considering how up close and personal you got.
It was cool the way you integrated snapshots in the video.
Thanks a lot for the great comments everyone. It was fun going through them all. Glad you liked it.
Has anyone got any examples of the Edmonton 9/23 poster framed? I was lucky enough to get one, and when it arrives im putting it on my wall ASAP ...so just wondering what people have done with it, would greatly appreciate any ideas people have.

Matt C's Drumsticks display (still need a little work to black out the wood - an over matt was not possible on this one due to the size of the display)....
I specially love new frames, that Klausen PJ20 is huge drol :P
Pele is awesome, can't wait to frame it.
Not to mention the pick's and drum sticks, guitar, signed stuff....insane

Just got this back the other day......Damn it looks impressive up on the wall, really great picture they drew up for that show. I kept it simple with just one black mat and the frame has 2 red lines running through it to help accent the picture:
"Populated with every reject and cutthroat from Bombay to Calcutta. It's worse than Detroit."
Behold my non PJ holy grail, the limited run The Smashing Pumpkins Arising tour poster from 1999. I have been sitting on this one for almost 13 years as I did not have the place to hang it, money, or right store to get it done right. The silver color "glows" in the right light hence the flash photo I included and the cream/yellow color in the swirl in the middle changes color based on lighting and position to the poster. I went all out on this one: black and red mats with a black base to really make the ticket stub and guitar picks(which are float mounted) pop. The picks were placed upside down on purpose so that the chevron design would draw they eyes up toward the actual poster. The frame ended up being one of the more expensive at the shop but with I really liked the distressed wood look to it and the bronze inner part of the frame ends up acting like a third mat:

Crosshair out of Chicago, supposedly it was a run of 900 but I don't think anywhere near that were sold as these were not sold at the shows(only the Black Light schedule poster was available). Only 3 people have this poster listed in their collection on ExpressoBeans which also leads me to suspect the run was not that large. When I bought the poster it was through the TSP website through a night sale (that got delayed for a few hours) and something like the first 50 (?) orders were going to be autographed by TSP and my order number was like 20 past the cutoff number LOL.

I have to give credit to the framer for that as it was a surprise when I picked it up. The original design was just a big cutout rectangle that was going to have the ticket in the center with a pick on either side. When I picked it up on Friday and saw what he did I was stunned(in a good way). Needless to say this shop is not the cheapest(I did use a $50 for $200 groupon to help) but they do great work and if I decide to get something professionally done again they will be getting my business.
PS My next project is the Bristow, VA show poster from 2010. The original plan was to get 2 of them and have them mounted in one large frame with 2 cutouts, 1 being right side up and the other being upside down. That plan was scuttled as the frame would have gotten too large and everything would have had to been ordered custom aka $$$$. I am going to do this myself and use 2 exact setups from Americanframe and just hang them next too each other for the same effect.

A few new additions to my walls - I did these myself and used a felt/suede looking matting. Pictures don't do the cool patterns in this type of matting justice.
This one is sort of PJ-related - Sleight Of Hand winery "2009 Funkadelic" label print.
