Got tix for both MSG and I'm extatic about it! So sorry for those who didn't make it, but hey, you'll get the tix either through the pit (some people are already offering their 2nd ticket) ot through Ticketmaster.

It was easy for MSG1 and took more time and nerves for MSG2 but it was nowhere near the London 2007 experience. The wife and I spent 6 (yes, SIX) hours clicking 'refresh' that time!!! The whole site crashed, 10c were sending us e-mails to be patient and bare with them while they work it out, we kept clicking and after 6 hours we made it. In the process, they 'reserved' the funds on our credit card a million times and blocked the card (but the card was not charged so we worked it out with the bank easily but we still had to show them an e-mail from 10c that they had no intention to charge us for those unsuccessful attempts), we ended up having to charge the tix to our friend's card...
So yes, it can be A LOT worse! But the London show was great, with the whole floor reserved for 10c so we forgot 'the tickets disaster'. I'm sure you'll all feel the same after the MSG shows and good luck to those who didn't get the tix yet!

back in 2003 i wasn't able to get msg2 10c tickets because of similar circumstances but a few weeks later 10c managed to get more seats and sent out an email asking if i would be interested....so i am gonna hope for something along these lines since i couldn't get 10c tickets today.....god it sucks being an awesome teacher who cannot get to a functional computer ;)

ps msg2 in 2003 had the most 10c members ever together sooooo i'm gonna try and think positive because those will be some rocking shows with all those die hard fans <3

I guess I am one of the few that didn't really have any issues. I only tried for MSG1, but I was in and had tickets within 2-3 minutes. The only thing that occurred was I had a page time out on a couple of occasions, but it rectified with a couple of page refreshes, and it held all the info previous to it. So, no complaints here. Not that I don't understand the frustration, because I do, as I would feel the same if I had that problem.

they DEFINITELY need a new server.

The ONLY problem with this system is the influx of people trying to get tickets. The servers that the tenclub has cannot handle it at all and that's obviously clear. These problems can be fixed though.

This is what they need to do...

1.) Invest in a brand new server that will be able to handle mass ticket sales. Honestly it's not THAT expensive to purchase something that can get the job done efficiently. It's just got to be fast (top end processor and lots of memory)

2.) Put the goods section on this new separate server by itself. This would help immensely because the forum server would be separate from the goods server and people logging in to proclaim that they are pissed off or happy that they did or did not get tickets wouldn't effect those purchasing tickets. There was well over 800 members logged in at noon today... this did not help matters.

3.) Implement a different shopping cart system. The current one is good for buying a shirt or whatever but for things that are sensitive like purchasing tickets or renewing a membership, it's a tad bit dated (I work in the field of web design and programming so that gives me a bit of credibility, yeah?)... they need something more advanced than the hit or miss task of clicking and hoping you were faster than everyone else. Other things like letting us store credit card info in our profile could also be implemented.

I know all of these things will go unnoticed but it's worth a shot.

I used Internet Explorer, but it blew even though I got tix for both shows. I've been reading a bunch of posts and the majority of the ppl who had no problem getting tix used Firefox. download that sh*t RIGHT NOW if you don't already have it and good luck tomorrow!

I didn't try for today, but now I'm wicked nervous about tomorrow!

everyone thinks hartford's gonna be a cakewalk, but sooo many people are trying for MSG/Hartford/Mansfield trifecta.

Oh well, if I don't get fan clubs for Mansfield I'll just get tickets through another route. It is shitty not to get fan club tix though. Back when they did everything on paper, didn't every fan club member who got the request in on time get them?

But no matter what time they go on sale, you may not be available at that time. This isn't 98 when you mailed in your form - no one does that anymore. Someone who is computer illiterate has bigger problems than getting PJ tickets (and there are no real tricks that substantially help anyone). It does put you at a slight disadvantage if you have dial up, but the vast majority of people have access to DSL or broadband. It isn't the 10C job to babysit you through the process.

I'm not saying the current system is perfect, and I certainly understand that people are upset when they try to get tickets for an hour but are shut out (it has happened to me). I'm just saying people act as though 10C has the worst system when it is not really any different anything anyone else uses.

If you have 2 days to submit your request for tickets and then they get back to you in the same amount of time that would be more fair, imo. and of course a lottery is the only way. Surely the band must know that the demand will way exceed the amount they have, from past experiences playing this venue and added the fact that their ticket allottment for the fan club ain't nothing like the old dayz!

So I realize it ain't like the old dayz and trust me I'm more grateful than less grateful, for the 10C, but the last 3 situations have been extremely bad/terrible experiences for me, and I try to always remain optimistic, but...

MSG 1 went off without a hitch for me. Took me about five mins to secure tickets.

MSG 2 was a bit of a mad house.

I think that's to be expected when you're talking about high demands shows. From what I understand, the non-MSG sales went incredibly smoothly, probably because the demand was less.

It's just bad luck for you. From what I understand, those have been the only tough tickets to get. Ask the South Carolina folks how hard it was to get tickets this time ...

I DIDN'T get tickets. It was awful.

  • i've got to say that this was the most difficult pre-sale for me in all the years they have done this online. Having been through it i understand busy servers and how we all can't get in and I have come to accept it but this was a bad one for me too.

Missed out on MSG 1 and didn't get 2 until 45 past the hour! It's so tense when it has that "temporarily" out of stock text, cause you know if you keep refreshing at some point you might see that beautiful buy button as some tix get thrown back in...and the whole time your heart is racing and you are thinking "please please please please please!!!!"

I had no problems for the MSG1 tickets. I was in and out in about 2 minutes. MSG2 was a bit slow, but I got them just the same.

Same w/ me. I was just diligent and went back in and tried and tried.
MSG 1 was easier, but got in before the full "crash". MSG 2 I thought I was going to TM, but lucked out and then **poof** tickets were gone.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!
  • I really liked the system for the Boston shows in 2004. They used Ticketmaster and gave us all a unique pre-sale password.

me too! i got front row!

i liked this experience... it shows that i'm a better fan then all you non-ticket holders (kidding.................maybe...).

And vedder solo tickets were harder to get, but msg2 was plain old confusing.
