But what would work better? Unfortunately when demand outpaces supply, there isn't a way to make everyone happy.

or perhaps just connection issues. It's always the same people who get tickets, and I am always out.

wavy gravy has talked about "good grief" and um i suppose that partly applies here...

overall it was a real bad experience...even though i was somewhat successful

the server kept crashing and i spent too much time trying and stressing....

Getting EV solo tickets was far worse ... took me an hour and twenty minutes to secure those.

... and have we forgotten the disaster that was The Vic? (granted, this was a special occasion).

While not the most ideal situation, I don't think it was that bad.

that reminded me of the Vic sale. Luckily i got tix for that and both MSG shows too. Was not easy though. I didnt think it was gonna be that bad after how smoothly camden and DC went. Anyone think Boston is gonna be this crazy?

Not at all. I was in and out in less than a minute. Saw the Buy button right at 12:01, clicked it, got through without a hassle, back to lunch. It was a perfect transaction-- night 1 here I come!

some people know some "tricks", some people don't...which just isn't fair play and im not mad at the people who know there way around a computer, rather, just really disappointed that i wasn't on an even playing field(its not their fault) BUT it ain't mine either and not knowing how to work mozilla options worked against me...
  • let me ask you, and I'm not trying to be snide....did you keep hammering away? I feel really bad for people who were either in the room, refreshing 9 times per second, or were just shut out of the room. I feel a little less bad for people who gave up minutes after the on-sale time, and came here to bitch. With night 2, I spent 30 minutes just trying to get into the room. Then when I did get in, bounced from MSG to Virginia about 5000 times. Finally got it at 2:45. With both shows, I got it, and they were completely sold out 5 minutes later

That was unbelievably frustrating, I'm glad it's over. Shut out of MSG1 but got a pair for 2....

Terrible, terrible experience. I think it might behoove the Ten Club to let Ticketmaster/Live nation run the fan club presales. At least they have the infrastructure in place to handle such large amounts of web traffic, with established payment processing systems. The Ten Club process has become more and more frustrating over the years, and unfortunately people get shut out not because of not being on time or missing presales, but due to systems/website issues. Its time the 10C fessed up to its limitations.

A LOTTERY...Give everyone time to put in a request and at the end of that time frame (say 2hrs) winners get emailed.

It would avoid a lot of the problems that occured today.

I got both but man it was rough. The 1st was easy but the 2nd one was bad. I had to refresh a ton of times and finally it got stuck in step 3. So i opened up a new window, logged in again and it was right there in my cart and I got them. That took 30 minutes but I am LUCKY, my colleague was not so lucky. He could not get it any tix. Funny I have been working at my new job for 2 months and did not know there was a fellow Jammer working with me.

I understand that people are upset, but 10C has the same problems every other fan club I'm in or website has, particularly Ticketmaster or tickets.com. It isn't as though there is a far better option out there that they are neglecting to use.

still shaking... feeling fortunate... got both... 2nd was by far the greatest test of patience... 43 minutes of clicking... hope Mansfield is less chaotic...
  • I had no problems for the MSG1 tickets. I was in and out in about 2 minutes. MSG2 was a bit slow, but I got them just the same.

Got tix, but this was a pretty bad experience. Not as bad as others, but then again I've been complaining about 10 club's server since they sold the Wachovia 05 show the same way and the servers were crashing then.

How is that different than having people log in at the same time with a server that allows some to get in and not others? It isn't as though the current system picks winners and losers on anything other than timing, which is more or less luck.

oh god no ... if TM takes ove rthe 10c sales, it'll probably involve the sending out of passwords, which means scalpers will be all over these tickets, moreso than they are now.
