From what I remember ordered small size so apparently they’ll be sent out last. Hoping it is soon, as I’ve a terminal illness (date unknown though) so am keen for what will likely be my last ever 10C purchase. 

We’ll just have to be more patient I guess.

Thank you kindly, I accepted it quickly. Originally told 6 months left, it’s now almost 12 months since diagnosis. If I can get to 70 in January I’ll be stoked. Have had a great life so no complaints. 

Wow. Don't think I could have that kind of outlook in your situation. Hoping they were way off on their prognosis and you are buying a Mystery Bag as a 75th birthday present to yourself.

Oh, thank you so much, that would be a miracle!

Hope you don’t mind me telling you the details. It’s pancreatic cancer. Half my pancreas was removed but they didn’t get it in time so it has spread to the liver, but only to there …. so far. Chemo slowed it down and after last scan oncologist said it was stable, but that was 6 weeks ago. I’ve been in hospital, palliative care and now rehab since then as I had a severe lung infection (chemo destroys immune system) with sepsis, pneumonia & blood clots! When I was  told in a roundabout way to get my affairs in order I figured I was ‘gone’, but a brilliant lung specialist pumped me full of antibiotics, steroids & morphine for 3 weeks and cleared the infection. Left me very sick for a while though and unable to walk, thus care and now rehab for 2 weeks so far. Much better though and should be home in a few weeks. 

The worse thing about PC is that it can spread so quickly, so hopefully I can get more treatment when I get out of here, probably not chemo though.

Thanks to all for your kindness, it really is touching. 

Now, this may be a little perverse in a way, but I don’t want any special treatment regarding the bag. By waiting it for it I reckon the karma gods may extend my time here. I’ll find out more though once I get out of Rehab here, (where I’ve learnt to walk again) and have a new scan. Fingers crossed.
