    Mamdami offered free things.  That is why he won.
    If taxpayer funded services are free things, then that means all politicians are offering free things. Republicans in the burbs won because they offered free public safety. 
    He literally said "free childcare and free busses". He offered FREE services.  These are services that the public currently pays for not our taxes.

    None of the other candidates offered these "free" services because of the cost it will take.
    That it would be a new service is irrelevant to the claim that they’re free. It’s paid by taxpayers regardless of how a politician labels it. 
    So back to why he won.  He offered "Free services". So it is actually relevant.
    The economic messaging is why he and the other dems won. His youthfulness and Cuomo being an old dried up perv also helped. The media is acting surprised because they created a false narrative around why Trump won, which was because of his economic messaging, and not because 7 years old were identifying as cats and pooping in litter boxes. Voters, particularly younger ones, figured out they got duped when Trump and republicans showed no interest in lowering costs. 
    He was the only one that preached free stuff.  The other candidates all said the same things including Mandamdi, affordable housing increased, raising minimum wage.

    If economic messaging is what got him voted then explain Long Island for me.

    I would imagine the economic messaging from the republicans was more appealing than the opponents. 


    The weird thing about mamdani is that it’s masking the problem Dems are facing in NY. This state is slowly turning more red. Democrats are less competitive in many areas compared to ten or 20 years ago

    Hochul only won by six points. Democratic presidential candidates used to win here 63-37. Last year it was 56-43.
    LI and other suburbs used to be competitive for Dems. Now they get annihilated in the burbs.


    Blakeman is going to be the next Governor.

    for those not in the know, Blakeman is very trumpian, in a county next to queens, where Dems used to compete, and won by a MUCH larger margin than Taxdani.
