Saw The Who back in 03/04 and walked out during the encore because I wasnt into it (boring as hell)  To each their own.
Sounds familiar, I went to see them when Ed supported them at Wembley stadium under that wonderful advertising that he would play a full length set. Figured it would be worth hanging around and seeing Ed guest on a few more tracks........Bored stiff after 40 minutes and decided to make an exit. It wasnt for me either.

I saw The Who at the Gorge in 2000.  I thought it was pretty good.  Mostly a greatest hits type setlist, but I thought it was a good time.  Albeit they still had 3/4 members, and they were probably younger than Pearl Jam is today :)

Just popping in to say Ed did not perform at The Who's Final* Public** Farewell Show That You Could Buy Tickets To in Palm Springs/Desert.

I think he was here, but just as a fan.

Curious why you think Ed was at this show?  He’s been in Chicago at the Cubs games since Tuesday.
That show was announced late and selling poorly. Last week Acrisure Arena posted the following on their socials.

Ed is coming off of Ohana. Sir McCartney just played the place a couple of days before. The Joe Perry Project was one of several bands that rotated as openers. So is was theoretically a logistic possibility and they took advantage of that. Then they hired an "influencer" to post the following.

Dropping song names from Sir Paul (Blackbird), Aerosmith (Sweet Emotion) and Pearl Jam (Alive). They were just snowballing the public to sell tickers. They knew exactly what they were doing. This isn't some rinky dinky outfit. The arena is one of over 300 that Oak View Group owns and operates. They are one of the few Live Nation competitors in that space.

All of that. I was surprised that they laid on that much BS just to try and get people to show up 'cause it definitely didn't sell out.

Place is about the size of the Moody Center, and it is pretty freaking remote.

Regardless, I had a great time, and if it does end up being the last public NA Who show, then I'm glad I went.

Yet, I have a feeling that they're going to reneg on it, and do either a few more shows next year, or do a festival/close out thing.

Pete commented on how good they sounded, and how well the tour came off.  If they looked out into the crowd. And if they look at the numbers for the tickets sold, if I was them, I wouldn't want that to be my last show.

Rush, Tragically Hip, Ozzy & Black Sabbath... hell, KISS. THAT'S how you do a last show.
Now use your powers to do Talking Heads!  :)

Lots and lots of huge shows and tours announced for next summer......Its looking a little doubtful but the next month will be crucial.

Expecting Oasis to announce dates again soon......the festivals will be leaking headliners in the next 4-6 weeks.....

I'm hoping my drummer / PJ date anticipation will be distracted by Radiohead US dates this summer

So in 2026 we may  have the following bands
    - Rush( confirmed)
    - U2( confirmed)
    - Oasis( rumor)
    - Radiohead(hopeful NA tour rumor)
    - Pearl Jam (Ohana 2026, hopefully)
    - Metallica ( Sphere residency rumor)

Would go to all these, already put ticket request into both Fort Worth shows for Rush.

I'd agree that they are pretty much confirmed for the UK and some european dates next year but havent seen rumours yet for them to return to the states, although it would be strange given how well they were received this year. Expecting the big festivals to come calling

No one is too big for festivals, there isnt an act in the world in that category.

I think a Foo Fighters tour is also a forgone conclusion for 2026.
