    My considerations: What songs do I want to hear that I haven’t heard yet? Who am I with and what would make them happy? Is it possible I’d hear this song at a different show if I didn’t make this request?

    Depending on the answers I would probably request:

    In the Moonlight, Oceans, All Those Yesterdays, Footsteps, Setting Sun.

    All or None or Around the Bend - such easy songs for Ed's voice. I'm shocked they haven't used them and Parting Ways way more often to help extend sets and add some more "rare" songs to the setlists.

    who you are with is a great point, if I was with friends from school its gonna be Rats every time

    Either Hard To Imagine or Parting Ways. I've only gotten them twice.

    I'll pick Parting Ways, since we're probably less likely to get that anytime soon.

    It’s an interesting question.  Do you go fully selfish and pick something you personally have never heard or pick something more of the fan base would like to see? Pick something they haven’t played in a while, yet not so far out there that it would get instantly shot down?  Or just say fuck it and request something ultra rare or something that they have never played and hope they can figure it out?  It’s like how much leeway are they really prepared to give you and if you go too big do they just veto the idea and go back to playing what was in the setlist.  After all they shot Stern down on his show when he requested Glorified G although they did come around to playing it in NYC. 

    In the moment I would have probably froze and picked the 1 song (Indiff) I had been selfishly trying to hear for a long time prior to Pitt which would have been the wrong pick with that kind of power.  Plus it wouldn’t have been the right spot in the setlist, would have killed the energy, and still had a chance of being played anyway (although it was the other song that night that wasn’t on the setlist…).  My “fuck it I’m going to try it” requests would have been Bushleaguer, Just A Girl or Brother.  My rare but within reason requests would be something like Army Reserve, Of the Earth, My Fathers Son.

    I think Grievance was in the perfect sweet spot of requests.  No idea why that song hasn’t been in the rotation since 2016, especially in this environment.

    If I was being completely selfish, I would choose Release since I’m still chasing it. But would also be tempted to request Around the Bend, Hold On, Wash, Comes then Goes or Marker in the Sand.

    But it also would be wild to hear Mike sing Turning Mist, but I know that’s more appropriate for one of his solo events. 😏

    The Fixer is a great song IMO
