Clearly Apple and the NFL see a return on that investment and time. And I guess the artist too, despite them having to pay for all of that.

I'm mean there are real racist people out there not liking it for racist reasons.

Oh well yeah, of course - all of MAGA is furious, lol. That's another reason I really enjoyed it, especially because the whole thing really was so, so political and such a hilariously obvious and cheeky and fun way to thumb his nose at Trump and his fucking colonial mindset. We should all be really appreciating Bad Bunny right now.
And that Kid Rock anti-Bad Bunny thing is SO FUNNY!!!

I can't say I really liked it but I've rarely liked an SB halftime performance. I think it is a colossal waste of money and effort.

How is a live music concert aired on TV a colossal waste of money and effort? That's an interesting perspective on a band's forum.
I don't watch the Super Bowl, but I just watched the performance so I could weigh in. It was super entertaining IMO. I don't listen to Bad Bunny, as I'm kind of old and also don't understand Spanish, so it has no real appeal for me, but I could still watch a production like that every year and be really happy about it. To be honest, my least favourite part was Lady Gaga - she seemed out of place and unnecessary.
And this crap about being racist if you didn't like it - give me a fucking break, omg. Yup, it's shit like that that makes it easier to understand how Trump managed to brainwash so many people.
it's a 15 minute performance mostly lip-synced without live instruments...all props and costumes....in the middle of a football field

It's legitimate entertainment. I just don't understand why you're kind of pissy about the whole thing.

To be clear...that is my opinion regardless of who is performing. I don't have any issue with Bad Bunny. I thought he did great. I just think the whole process is stupid.

Years ago we used to switch to MTV during halftime to watch the "Buttbowl" from Beavis & Butthead. That was an annual thing for a few years I believe.

I almost never watch halftime because compressing anyone into a 10-minute act is just not that entertaining to me. I'm an old white guy, so acts like the Rolling Stones resonate with me better but I don't think I even watched that. I love going to concerts and these shows are not that reminiscent of a concert.

That said, they're part of the day, just like the game itself and the commercials. People seem to enjoy it. No harm there. The NFL has made the Super Bowl so much more than a game and that's why so many non-football fans watch it.

(Also, while people enjoy the halftime shows, they've been polarizing for a while. "Ugh, all these old guys." One of the MAGA's on my high school friends chat was whining about BB and he listed all these acts that would be better and included PJ. I'm very glad they never did the Super Bowl because I'd get burned out people talking about a washed-up* old-guy group. And of course, they'd perform well but nobody watching that will get how good they are live (i.e., not washed up) the way we do.)

The usual suspects in my facebook feed saying bad bunny sucked. 😂
He did suck.  Really badly.  Stagging was incredible...music and whatever his "singing" is..."eh eh eh"....yuck, awful.  But that is just like my opinion man...
By all accounts of the people who it was for, he didn't suck. It just wasn't for you.
Yeah that’s why I said he sucks and it’s just MY opinion. And let’s be fair, there was probably 95% of the population already that loved it or hated it before he took the field

This was the 1st halftime show I’ve watched since U2 performed! The only reason I did was because of how fuckface reacted to BB performing his performance did nothing for me I can respect his talent and not like the music, I think I watched a total of 10 plays

well, nobody could have seen this coming.

White House senior trade adviser Peter Navarro cautioned the public to lower expectations ahead of Wednesday’s monthly jobs report, citing the Trump administration’s deportations of immigrants working in the country illegally. https://thehill.com/business/5731440-peter-navarro-jobs-report-warning/

Yeah who knew that a side effect of deporting people and murdering US citizens would be shitting jobs numbers?

what will he do tonight to distract the entire news cycle away from this report?

he has already done a few racisms and threatened cuba and canada the last few days to distract from epstein. he has already blown up boats and covered fir murderer ice agents the last few weeks. so what is left?

at this point i do not think it would hurt him if he just comes out and admits to everything in the epstein files. it would get the press off of his back, and put the pressure to do something back on spineless congress. if he wants to flip the narrative, he should come clean and own it.

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard on Tuesday said she is ending a task force launched last year to target politicization within different U.S. intelligence agencies, a task force she said was meant to be temporary.
