I mean, lets put effort on fixing the real problems. This is on par with jaywalking, or expired vehicle registration. and yeah, you need rules to shape behavior, this is really at the bottom of list of stuff that we need to manage.

Yeah, its on them to stay on top of their Visa, but also, this isn't hurting anyone.

I still do not understand what identity politics craze means. There is increased enforcement on immigration. It is not complicated.

The real discussion is our immigration system is broken, expensive and time consuming and needs a dramatic overhaul to keep people that want to build a life, spend money and invest in this country, here, all the while altering civic planning to incorporate these people into our communities while balancing the needs of the established community as well. 

Instead, as an American society we have said, nah that’s too hard let’s just focus on us who are just Americans because fear of The Other is too great without any full consideration of what these immigrants bring to the communities and the economy of the US.

The article that started this conversation shouldn’t even be "news". Somebody got punished for breaking the law…riveting stuff. The rule of law underpins liberalism and is essential (regardless of identity) in any democracy, even in a power-brokered duopoly like the one we've somehow settled for. Exceptions needn’t be made, unless tribalism is the end goal.

BREAKING: Bodycam shows ICE LIED, and EXECUTED a young Texas man Renee-Good style – when slowly driving, foot on the brake, away from officers.

They tried to bury this story by hiding the footage for a year, and dumping it out late on a Friday night -- we can NOT let them do this quietly:

For nearly a year, federal officials said 23-year-old Martinez accelerated his car and “intentionally ran over” an agent before an ICE officer fired “defensive shots.”

But newly revealed bodycam video tells a very different story -- the truth.

The footage shows Martinez’s blue Ford Fusion either stopped or barely moving when the shots were fired. The brake lights appear to be on as three gunshots ring out.

Moments later, Martinez is dragged from the vehicle at gun point, thrown face down onto the pavement, and handcuffed. No medical care is visible until after he is restrained.

His best friend Joshua Orta, who was in the car that night, told investigators what really happened.

He said Martinez “kind of pushed the gas,” but “he didn't floor it, it was barely moving.” He also said Martinez “did not hit anyone.”

The bodycam footage proved he was telling the truth, and the entire Trump admnistration, under the direction of Kristi Noem, conspired to lie.

Martinez’s mother, Rachel Reyes, is still searching for answers.

The family’s lawyers say the footage proves the official story COLLAPSES.

Nobody was on the hood of his car. Nobody was in front of his car when he was shot. Nobody was in danger, except him.

Still, he was shot at point blank range through his side window by an ICE agent.
