I ended up ordering The Milky Way Galaxy since it was on sale and I believe retiring this year.  It is backordered, so it will be my irresponsible purchase of the month, next month.  I'll post some pics when it arrives and is completed.  I got The Wave wall art last year and it looks pretty good so I'm hoping for similar results.

Nice collection!  Have you ever knocked Van Gogh off his extension?

I'm looking forward to the galaxy and have a perfect spot picked out for hanging it.

Van Gogh has not fallen, he is up high enough out of the way.

I do keep knocking the nose off of the Apollo rocket which I should move.

I have yet to hang the Milky Way and Sunflowers.

You will enjoy the Milky Way, although pretty much all single or 2x pieces.  A cool Easter egg for you to discover also

Yeah, I'm expecting my fingers will be sore with all those little pieces ... probably do it in sections over a week to not disrupt my guitar playing.  The Lego App will be great for building this one.

Maybe I will do an Etsy search to see if anyone has created bionic Lego finger devices yet ...

Milky Way is complete!   Took just over 20 hours.  The modular build helped break it up into a manageable build and I didn't find it frustrating.  The Lego App helped big time and I think I only made a few mistakes that I immediately figured out.  I hope to get it hung this weekend.  This would be a good group build due to the modular design.  Here is a side view of the "chaos" up close ..

Supposed to glow in the dark also

Yeah, the alien is a cool touch.  I like the Gaia space telescope as well.

I would probably get a 2nd set if I could get it for 50% off just for the parts.

Looks good!  Interesting to look at from up close and far away.  The "earth" glows in the dark, but I didn't notice much else.

Here is a leaked image of the rumored Death Slice Star ...

Also rumored to be $1,000.  It better be able to at least blow up a pumpkin for that price.

Lots of pushback online about pricing and value for the Death Star.

Once again I am glad I am not a Star Wars fanatic. I've got a couple of smaller sets.

Other brands are offering better pricing, but don't have a lot of franchise licenses.

I am watching Mattel Brick shop with interest.

It looks like a neat, expensive knickknack shelf with a bunch of smaller sets staged on it.  The laser looks cool.  Just weird that the Disney tax makes it is more expensive than the Titanic or the Eiffel Tower.  They say the Death Slice has a bigger piece count, but it must be a lot of smaller pieces.

Soundwave arrived today. Will post a pic when he’s built. I’m currently building the classic Batmobile so might be a while

Awesome! I am going to get Soundwave down the road.  I just ordered the “Black Pearl”.  Ridiculous price, but am getting a couple of freebies and I love how the cannons roll out.

I'm interested to see how big Soundwave is.  Lots of nostalgia in that one.  Have fun with the build!

The Black Pearl looks awesome.  I ordered the Thieves of Tortuga pirate set on Bricklink designer program I will have my eye on it for future sales (and if I have space for it).  Speaking of the designer series ...
