Isn't it a bit ironic that the Dems best buddy is now the Freedumb Caucus?

I can't see them voting for trump's $4.5Tril tax cut

coupled with raising the debt limit to 4 trillion.

They'll vote for whatever the two billionaire robber barons tell them to vote for.

Thank goodness the party of billionaires lost.

    Holy shit.

So I was just taking a home equity application for a woman. Slam dunk deal. Streamline process. Get to the income section and see she works at the Dept of the Interior so I ask if she's still there (a question I literally ask everyone) and she nervously laughs and says "well I do....at least for now." I felt horrible as I was thinking maybe she thought I was joking  or something. Then she goes on about how she's been there 25 years and is great at her job and is doing this loan because she's uncertain about things moving forward.

She then says she doesn't have time to talk because she just found out she's got to lay off some people......

Get off the phone with her and google Dept of Interior and see this story from like a half hour ago. She probably just found out about this as I was calling her. Fucking incredible.

Feb 14 (Reuters) - Some 2,300 people have been laid off at the U.S. Interior Department as part of the Trump administration's sweeping government job cuts, according to three sources familiar with the matter.
The Interior Department manages around 500 million acres of U.S. public lands, including its national parks, and also administers the country's onshore and offshore oil and gas leasing programs - source of around a quarter of U.S. oil production.

One of the sources said the layoffs include around 800 people from the Bureau of Land Management, which manages millions of federally-owned acres for uses ranging from oil and gas development to timber harvesting, cultural preservation and recreation.
The sources asked not to be named in discussing the matter.
The Interior Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
President Donald Trump has said he hopes to maximize U.S. oil and gas production, which is already at record highs.

All those wonderful things he's doing for America:  Making people lose their jobs!  Raising the cost of goods!  Making Enemies of former allies!  Tearing down the National Parks System!  Trashing the environment!  All those great things Americans voted for!

Layoffs suck as it upends the lives of people and their families. I've been through it with a previous company and was definitely life altering. ☹️

It's a main cost cutting method for organizations.

Is it a story because Trump is in office while federal job cuts are occuring?

It’s always going to be a story. How they do it reflects their poor leadership styles.

They're only getting started, wait until they start shutting down VA hospitals. We can't be wasting money on all those "suckers and losers".
