Man, I wanted to see PJ the next time they played at JazzFest, but I'm going to be in Pittsburgh the first weekend of May for my niece's college graduation. Oh well, I'd probably sweat to death in May in New Orleans regardless. At least my daughter and I will be attending the second Nashville show on May 8th, so I can't really complain. 🥑
Any savant speculators know what day they'd most likely play? I would think Saturday? I'm trying to get the jump on a flight that would leave New Orleans Sunday but that'd bite me if they ended up playing Sunday night. The very last night of jazzfest typically doesn't have the biggest headliners but who knows.
Every city pair has a three day gap except for the five day gap between Atlanta and Nashville -- which has led some to speculate that additional two days is there by design. Gut says Sat 05/03, but hoping for Sun 05/04. If Sunday, I can fly in, and fly out that night because Jazz Fest ends at 7pm sharp (give or take 15 mins). If Saturday? I spend the night & get some fried catfish lol

Damn I saw the event poster and nearly shit myself. It was a must buy. So many insanely awesome acts. I just now came onto the pj site and realized it’s broken up into two weekends. Not sure anymore, I’ll have to think about it

Definitely makes a big difference. If DMB and PJ were playing the same weekend, especially back to back nights, it would be a no-brainer for me. But as is, no way i could pull it off. Lots of other good lower tier bands, but those are the only two headliners i’m even remotely interested in. And not worth traveling that far (from Michigan) just for one day of the fest.

Agreed, I was like holy crap! I'm still thinking about it since it's a short jump over there from Austin and apparently it's a daytime fest so it ends early, but I'm already in FL the weekend before. Jazzfest has been a bucket list thing for me so we'll see. We go to NO when we can, I love the place.
Early entry seems like a tough logistical ask for a fest of this size and do you really need a 10C sale?
No. But it would be nice if there was at least early entry for GA. I get it for festivals, but it would be nice if there was some nod to the 10C.
I can't see that being a good idea. The idea of a festival is it sits outside these things -- offering preferential treatment for fans of one of the headliners seems antithetical to that. JazzFest doesn't and shouldn't care about your 10C status.

Plus you know it'll be filled with Dark Matter and 90s radio hits, being a festival. If anyone's looking for the deep cuts, this won't be the place.
