I'm not sure if this is the most hypocritical thread I've read in a while. A few comments in the OP laments body shaming calling it shameful but at the same time bemoaning toxic masculinity.
Quick question, what EXACTLY do you define as toxic masculinity? Are all males toxic? Labelling us all as toxic IS absolutely shameful. Maybe, instead of tarring us all with a particular brush you could aim your barbs at those who deserve it.
For example, those men in Afghanistan, who, immediately after the U.S. made a deal with terrorists stopped women being educated and began their regimen of female oppression. Maybe the Iranian men too who murder women for not covering their hair to name but two.
There are plenty of what I would call  'embarrassments' to men. It's just a shame that there are equivalent women.
Maybe, just maybe we can all do better.
Toxic masculinity is not being content with the 1:00 games and needing to watch the 4:00 games
so is toxic femininity binging on vanderpump or the real housewives from atlanta?
watching sports is an example of toxic masculinity?  That's odd.

I love this little video so much, also for the reasons you indicated.

Honestly, I wish that a gender wasn't tagged to the word toxic.  It makes people naturally defensive.  I initially was excited when that Gillete commercial came out.  It's good to be aware of important issues, in order to address them.  But then I saw the comments.  A couple snowflakes, ok cool, expected.  Then more sensitive dudes posting in defense.  I was shocked.  There's THAT many fragile snowflakes?!

Toxic anything is bad.  And those defensive snowflakes should have known that health masculinity is very good (I mean we are an intelligent species for fucks sake, right?).  Strong, protective, helpful, mentor and so on...

Healthy masculinity / femininity / <insert word> is very good.
Toxic masculinity / femininity / <insert word> is very bad.

Usually the lists of toxic traits for both men and women will intersect.  Likewise for healthy.
This is all so glaring simple, and the mass public is... I'm really at a loss.  It's 2024 for fucks sake.

Humanity appears to be dumbing down.  I understand the "higher ups" in charge of everything have planned to be so.
Easier to control those that are less intelligent.
But what burns me up is that these people are willfully stupid.  Like you don't have to be stupid, because the people running the world want you to be.
