This idiotic disaster explains why the shows over the past couple years have been lacking energy and excitement. For one, the arenas are not jammed like in years past, people are leaving early even though the set lists are much shorter and the crowd consists of more random people and not fans. The band is simply out of touch and thinks that people are just going to start following a band of 60 year old dudes. That's just not the case. Meanwhile, they are basically stealing from thousands of 10c members who now get absolutely nothing with their yearly membership. It's green disease and they are chock full of it.
We must be going to different shows or you are a Prisoner of the moment.
How much refreshing is a red flag, I have been on all day and no warning. Are people refreshing every 2-3 minutes?
Every 2-3 minutes should be ok. But you might not get a warning. One time you will refresh and you will get the “your account has been paused message” just popping up.
Unfortunately, many of us have realized over years of doing F2F that you have to refresh multiple times a minute to even have a slight chance of scoring a ticket. So that is the problem.
Yeah, I mean... I 'm looking for tickets to both Hollywood shows and ATL 1. And I don't mind being there solo if I can get a single GA.
So while I've got something on the tv at night, every 2 or 3 minutes, I'll basically do the following:
- Click into Hollywood 1... - Default view loads to 2 tickets sorted on Best Price. - Change Filter to 1 ticket (check for GA) - Click into Map View since sometimes there's inconsistency between map and list, and map view will show me if any new pink (F2F) tickets are available anywhere that might not have come up in the list.
If all of that turns up empty, I back up, click into Hollywood 2 and do the same thing.
Then the same for ATL1.
I do all that, viewing multiple ticket quantity filters, map and list view, for 3 shows, in probably 20 or 30 seconds? And then in a couple minutes I'll do it again. It's rote mind-numbing stuff, but as GlowGirl pointed out, it's the type of behavior that's proven to work in the past.
I'm not sure specifically which term in the code of conduct that violates... depending on their definitions, it could be this one?
Access, reload, or refresh transactional event or ticketing pages, or make any other request to transactional servers, more than once during any three-second interval.
Regardless, I realize now I stand very little chance of actually succeeding this go-round... and Ticketmaster's bans aren't accomplishing anything other than optics. A million users doing what I do in parallel shouldn't even register a blip on their infrastructure. And the inability for real fans to get tickets through F2F isn't actually a "bug" they're trying to prevent. It's literally the feature.
Also, just because it's hilarious... with no awareness of what's currently happening, my sister-in-law got me a $100 Ticketmaster Gift Card as a Secret Santa gift today. 🤣
I will miss the pastime of toggling between 1-2 tickets when I’m bored. In 2022 and 2023 that produced some hits as well as passing the time. In 2024 it was mostly just a pastime. I guess in 2025 I’ll have to find a new hobby

I was refreshing like crazy earlier this year so this crazy banning must be fairly new. Now I am afraid to toggle more then few slow times knowing full well it won't amount to me getting tickets
The reality is there are more 10club tix now than before. The problem is there isn’t priority and many entered for most/all shows with idea they’d just sell extra tickets back to fans on f2f. Everyone/entity games systems. They should bring priority back.
In addition to no priority, it appears that the lottery is now winner takes all, where One winning draw entitles that member to have all of their requests filled with available tickets maximizing the number of club members with no winnings draws. So curious that this major change to the lottery process a few years ago coincided with the scalpers ability to defeat the f2f system that was only created to stop scalpers. This was the tool the band told us was designed to help us and have been silent for years as it’s been manipulated by tm and scalpers.
For our membership fees, we are not even entitled to know how the lottery is conducted anymore and why it appears that some fans get rewarded with many tickets and many fans get rewarded with zero tickets in the lottery. This has been ongoing for years, and the lack of transparency with the lottery is a little bit ugly.
So for those that try to claim that the band is not involved, that’s a ridiculous claim. They have made decisions to trust Ticketmaster, which is maximized the amount of 10 club members in need of tickets and now Fan 2 fan is not an option. TM has come up with a way to delete accounts with no due process. the band has been completely silent as f2f has been overtaken by tm and their scalpers for years now.
Amen. The blind ball washing of some individuals is nauseating. Its crystal clear that the 10c has become nothing but a money grab. The band has gone from being loyal to their fan base, to being enablers of a system that results in 95% scalping for their shows. They pulled that stunt 30 years ago to try and claim they were against the big system monopolies, but every move they made since then has helped scalping and fucked over their fan base. The 10c is just a funnel of cash that the band steals while providing zero return. There is literally not a single thing of use from being in the 10c.
At the very least, why can’t ten c tickets stay within the club? This seems to be a simple fix and something that should have been done two years ago once it became obvious the TM scalper defeat system of fan to fan was not effective.
By doing nothing for years, the club has actually made it easier for scalpers to get resale tickets by forcing the only path for unusable club tickets onto a platform dominated by scalpers.
Put a code on ten c tickets and give club members an exclusive resale window to buy them. Too simple, right?
10C isn’t handling ticket sales because the band sells the tour to LiveNation, the promoter, who offers a guarantee and takes over production. The band assures an allotment to the fan club while balancing costs with Premium offering. The band has no reason to switch their business model.
Your comment is 100% true for most of the bands that sell tickets on Ticketmaster, but unfortunately cannot be applied to this band because they put a lot of restrictive procedures that are supposed to keep scalpers away from tickets, but are actually creating a process that helps flow tickets, including fan club tickets, into the hands of scalpers. They should be aware of what their decisions are leading to
they are setting the rules and processes, and representing they are taking steps to keep tickets out of the hands of scalpers. to make their tickets non-transferable is an enormous burden that They are placing on their fans, and this does not absolve them of responsibility for what that leads to when combined with the fan to fan process. They are causing a lot of these problems, whether they want to admit it or not.
with the results of the new TicketMaster procedures regarding fan to fan, it’s apparent that not only are tickets ending up in the hands of scalpers, but 10 club tickets are ending up in the hand of scalpers. That’s such an easy fix. It’s almost embarrassing having to bring that to the attention of the fan base on this forum.
If they’re not at a minimum going to address that or even pay attention to that or even be aware of that, at a minimum they should be addressing the results of the process that they are responsible for, and explain to their paying membership dues customers why they are not reviewing the process in any apparent manner. Fans are so frustrated, They’re figuring out how to email the bands legal representation. The one process that should be their responsibility Is that the allocated fan club tickets that remain within the fan club.
If Ticketmaster won't allow me to sell my tickets that feels illegal somehow. I am livid at this whole process flagging us humans as bots something feels off if it's happening to so many people.
the potentially illegal part happens when the available premium tickets get priced lower at the same time you can’t price your premium lower.

Yeah, there is no advantage of rapid fire refreshing as there are no tickets being sold. All of the tickets are in the hands of the scalpers, just as the band intended.

I’m sure it will work out in the end, I did buy Bruce Springsteen tickets side stage a week before the show. The tickets were row A and cheaper than face value.

In a forgotten alley in West Seattle, Ed looks behind his shoulder and adjusts the brim of his dark grey fedora as he rushes through an obscured rusty metal door. Behind it, stairs lead down into a dimly lit basement. Matt and Jeff are sitting at a polished mahogany bar, curious as to why this emergency meeting has been called. Stone breaks the silence from across the room, “I thought you only wore those hats on stage to piss the fans off…”
Ed ignores the rhetorical question and, concerned, admits, “I don’t think we’re doing enough to get tickets into the hands of scalpers. I’ve been refreshing fan to fan all morning without being botted once.”
Boom pops up from behind the bar and responds calmly, “ahhhh let me call my guy at Ticketmaster. It’ll be handled.” He passes out shots of limoncello on a solid gold plate and the band shares a toast to the success of the upcoming tour.

If they don't like playing in front of their fans, why would you believe they are looking out for the fans best interest with tickets? So comical how blindly people defend this debacle. This exactly. It’s hard to blame them, as they are in their 60s. I sure hope I’m down to at least part time work by the time I turn 60 as well.
But anyone who can’t see that the 10C is a corporate revenue machine at this point needs a reality check.

Whether or not the fan club is worthwhile is in the eye of the beholder. It sounds like you’re not happy with the fan club and the band so why not move on? Surely better things to be done than complaining on a message board about a band that you don’t like anymore. Might be time to move on, no?

I think all this talk of 10c being responsible for ensuring that 10c tickets stay in the 10c is ignoring the obvious; The call is coming from inside the house.
For $35 a year, anybody can create an account that gives them access to the lottery, and the lottery is a shot at GA tickets to every show. You think scalpers aren't all over that? And how could 10c possibly prevent it? ID checks? Social security numbers? To join a fan club? There is no clear rational solution to this problem. Any time you have a market where demand drastically exceeds supply, you're going to have opportunists looking to capitalize.
I also think the assertion that there’s a simple engineering solution to keep 10c tickets in-house is a bit of a leap. The ticket ecosystem is controlled by Ticketmaster. The platform is controlled by Ticketmaster. Unless Pearl Jam wants a 2025 version of the No Code tour, playing your local non-Ticketmaster-affiliated skating rink and ice cream shop, the tickets are going to be issued and managed in the Ticketmaster ecosystem. And however simple you try to make the solution, some work would need to be done on Ticketmaster's side. Good luck getting them to prioritize that. Plus, sure... Ticketmaster and 10c accounts can be linked. But then again, if scalpers are "inside the house", what good does that do? You're not solving the problem; you're just moving it to a different part of the pipeline.
IMO, the most realistic thing 10c could do to help with the fan frustration is bring back priority selection for shows, and cap the number of shows each fan can be selected for. Die-hards won't like it, but it will at least help spread the wealth. At least via the Verified Fan path, TM's infrastructure already supports Show Prioritization and selection limits, so that shouldn't be too much of a leap.
People saying that 10c needs more tickets, better seats, more control over pricing, etc... underestimate how much power Ticketmaster wields. It sucks.
Secondary market is the only way. You can get in the building for under $300 though the scalper sites. Unless you want PJ "Premium" seats, where you get a terrible seat for the low, low price of $900. Hence the term, premium.
The one process that should be their responsibility Is that the allocated fan club tickets that remain within the fan club.
this should be sent to the 10C I am wondering if someone has started a draft because it's one thing to write on this forum, but I think we should be reaching out to the 10C.

Yes I have with every poster that’s been “paused” and their original post tagged and linked but the more the merrier.
People win GA 4 out of 5 times, everything is hunky dory. They don’t win tickets, they start throwing around the R-word like they know what it means. GTFOH… like a spoiled child.

My hairbrained idea. All of this would also include something “free” for being a 10C membership (shirt, etc) annually.
If you’ve been a 10C member for 10 consecutive years, you get priority access in which you get 2 tickets to a single show of your choice (you put in 2 requests).
If you’ve been a 10C member for 5 consecutive years, you get priority access in which you get 2 tickets to a single show of your choice (must put in 4 requests).
There is a f2f marketplace for the 10C tickets ONLY. If a 10C ticket winds up on stubhub or seat geek, your membership is suspended.
That’s it. Everything else goes into the hands of TM for the usual sales mechanisms. And I think folks need to realize that the band still has a lot of fans, and that people really liked Dark Matter, which likely drove up demand for shows.
But no one is forcing you to be a 10C member, so if you feel slighted, do the smart thing and take your business and energies elsewhere.

Ahh ok, it’s the aggressive F5. Right now there isn’t much on there. I guess I’ll keep trying.
Yeah, there is no advantage of rapid fire refreshing as there are no tickets being sold. All of the tickets are in the hands of the scalpers, just as the band intended.
Thank you for this! Nice way to wake up for work 😊
The great thing about the threat of TM shutting down accounts is that it has made the work of potential scalpers even easier. Many on here are checking for tickets and refreshing less due to the fear of losing their account. Scalpers have no fear since they have a bunch of disposable accounts and you don't lose the tickets you already have in the account after being locked out.
I don't disagree with those saying there will be more tickets available closer to the show... but good luck being online the second they drop and then being fast enough to cart them & check out.
If TM's policy for suspending accounts doesn't change between now & then, it's going to be ugly.

So while I've got something on the tv at night, every 2 or 3 minutes, I'll basically do the following:
- Click into Hollywood 1...
- Default view loads to 2 tickets sorted on Best Price.
- Change Filter to 1 ticket (check for GA)
- Click into Map View since sometimes there's inconsistency between map and list, and map view will show me if any new pink (F2F) tickets are available anywhere that might not have come up in the list.
