I think you are much more likely to get hit by the bot detection using the phone apps. If you use a computer browser like Chrome or Safari, you can easily delete cookies and reload and do other tricks to keep going without much interruption.
i primarily use chrome on my personal laptop. Check phone app here and there when elsewhere. I saw the warnings on here about it happening so I wasnt spamming the refresh too hard, even though I'd go in spurts. The only thing that I changed up yesterday was having to use some streams for baseball since mlbtv was down for a while. Irrational part of my brain, but wondering if that screwed up my network pings.

This is beating a dead horse but the fact we can’t transfer to other 10c members is bad practice. Instead we’re risking account securities with credit card info. I’ve been after PITT2 since day one, and lost out twice with links. I trust so many people on here from deals done in the past and rapport built for years and years (20+)…but this is insane. We can’t even drop links anymore, never mind a timed drop in 2023. If the scalpers are getting them….10c should acknowledge it at the very least which they haven’t, instead they had a mod close a thread…then just make them fully transferable again.
The system is broken. I bet 10c management knows all of this, but I wonder if the band truly understands that fans are getting hosed on tickets at high prices. I am not the type of guy to bring a sign but I really want to write one that says “Your Ticket System Sucks”. Do they even care? Unfortunately like with anything, nothing will change if we keep buying.
I love this band. I am so excited for these shows. Personally I need them to distract me for 3 weeks. I can’t wait to run into friends in the pit or at happy hour. I can’t wait to bring my girlfriend to her first show. I can’t wait to go with my dad for his 35th show, and my best friend to his 30th. Vegas 1 and Philly 1 made me fall in love all over again. But I have such a bad taste in my mouth this go around and it’s because of green disease.

Problem is that TM doesn't know who is or isn't a 10C member and not everyone that has tickets got them from 10C. It's a technology issue and TM isn't going to implement a special system just for PJ fans (or anyone else) that would cut their revenue stream. 10C doesn't have the money or resources to manage their own ticketing, so they let TM handle it and take the heat for all of the shenanigans. The band is only doing a dozen or so cities/shows so the only way they make money is to have premium seating prices to make up for the 10C pricing allocation. And, if premium pricing didn't work, they wouldn't do it. If they don't sell, the prices will adjust down.
Yes, they are too expensive, but if they were cheaper it wouldn't be any easier for fans to get them, the brokers/bots would scoop them up instantly and be reselling them for more than the premiums are priced.
And FLA1 shouldn't be too hard to get closer to the date. There are a ton of premiums out there that will likely drop and it's probably not going to be full at showtime because its a Thursday night. FLA2 on the other hand... ugh.

Well said.
I'm so dismayed not just w/ PJ's process, but the ticket buying process in general. I tried for single NIN ticket for Boston... was in queue 30 minutes before the on sale, finally got through 35 minutes after the sale started and couldn't even get a SINGLE for face value (never mind the dynamic pricing angle... one friend bought a pair for him & his wife that ended up being almost $700 total... it's getting to the point that I don't even want to bother)
This process is so beyond f'ed up at this point and I don't think it's going to get any better. It's ticketmaster's game, whether or not we choose to partake in it, and they have no motivation to change what they're doing.
& I very much share your sentiment about this tour... I'm going to enjoy the f out of these Pearl Jam shows while I can, because there's a bit of a fleeting sense to it all in the back of my mind that I can't shake.

For sure I understand it’s impossible to do that. Then just make them transferable. The scalping prices wouldn’t be as high as they are now on the secondary market.

The only arena shows I plan on attending are PJ and a Billy Strings show. As of now I’m going to see 8 other artists/bands in smaller venues. Mostly because of the ticket buying process. No issues getting tickets and most weren’t through TM. I’m seeing Amyl on Monday at Mission Ballroom and I haven’t looked forward to a non-PJ show like this in a long time. If I couldn’t go, I wouldn’t sweat it, ticket was $50. Sturgill and Jack White at Mission, $100.
The main reason I keep going to PJ is because the product they’re putting out is still absolute fire, and I need to see them as many times as possible before they’re done. But this system makes it’s so much more difficult to even be excited about it.

Fair points... I have QOTSA, Nathaniel Rateliff, Big Wreck and MMJ in smaller venues later this year, and can't wait for all of them.
PJ & Tool are about the only arena bands I make a point of seeing... I've never seen NIN, and am sure I'll be able to get in the door for face, but to your last point... I'm turned off by the whole process.
I don't even want to think what a shit show it will be if / when Radiohead comes around again. I might just have to settle for the fact that I saw them a couple times in 2018.

With all due respect, this is simply not true. 45 days out, prices on the secondary market last year for the NYC shows was higher than either Pittsburgh show. Those shows had transferable tickets as required by New York law.

Inconclusive. NYC shows always have much higher demand than a smaller regional market like Pittsburgh.
There’s also an unquantifiable value to the peace of mind to have the ticket in your own account.

Transferrable tickets definitely encourage scalping and higher secondary prices.
The dirty secret that no one admits is that fans LIKE to scalp tickets, too. If someone can't make it to a show, who wouldn't pass up the opportunity to list them on a secondary site for 5x instead giving them back to TM for face value (where they make fees on every sale and re-sale).
No, its not "nice" or "fair", but the ticketing marketplace has proven this to be true over many years. GIven the chance, everyone wants to make a buck or 10. PJ fans are no different.
There’s only a handful of events that would resell for 5x the value. 90% of the events I have attended post Covid (non-PJ) I have bought tickets within a few days of the event for less than face or maybe 10-20% more than face. In that case the seller is still losing money by paying the listing broker.

Definitely. NYC, especially MSG, is an exception to every rule because of the amount of money people have, the state law and the venue hype.

Go back to the way is was and make all 10C tickets non-transferable and end this nonsense. It would probably put more tickets in the hands of locals instead of travelers that buy on spec.

Huh? They are non transferable. People are just making trades and swapping login info. If they are selling they use cash apps to transfer funds and swapping login info. Also a lot of people have become friends over the years and they are just doing favours.

Saw this with MSG tickets last year, the amount of people in the 10c who had those to sell but wanted to get theirs “because PJ sure is” was disheartening but it is what it is.
The way you help this is self-policing and the ten club stepping in. The ten club should check the secondary sites once or twice and issue will call notices for all the rows that were 10c tickets that are found above face. Will call GA. Normalize reporting 10c members that are selling above face. Establish that there could be repercussions up to and including membership termination and over time the culture shifts to selling at face value among fan club members. I’ve said this before but the DMB fan club is a great example of this. Last year they switched over to TM tickets as well but there is still a healthy face value marketplace on their forum because they established that culture. Not that there aren’t exceptions, their MSG equivalent is spac and its not easy (due to actual demand) but not impossible either. It doesn’t fix the problem but as someone with a lot of seniority I would never risk my membership by ever selling above face.
But this all relies on the 10c being able to enforce the face value sale rules.

You have it backwards.
Premium prices are designed to keep scalpers away, so they are priced just high enough that scalpers/flippers don't have financial incentive to buy up all of the inventory and try to resell them for more.
That is the entire purpose of the "premium/platinum" ticket pricing system. TM invented it specifically so that the acts would not leave money on the table for scalpers. If people are willing to pay that much, the logic is that the money should be going to the bands and not some secondary seller.
The whole wallet thing….using someone else’s TM account into your wallet….is that just Apple or Google too?
I don’t think it works with either of them.
Can someone confirm this please? All wallets are fucked? 😂
The wallet tickets, at least on iPhone, will only activate for the Ticketmaster address that is linked to your apple wallet. That link happens the first time you add a Ticketmaster ticket to your wallet and it will permanently associate tickets to that. So in the future if you log into someone else’s Ticketmaster account and try to add their tickets, it won’t ever activate them.
My partner never added any of his own tickets to his apple wallet but then in Las Vegas last year added someone else’s tickets from a trade. Now he can’t activate his own tickets that he won in the lottery or bought from fan to fan for any artist, not just PJ. Can only use the TM app to scan in because his wallet is linked to that other guy’s account.
Someone posted last year somewhere that they were able to get ahold of the right person at Ticketmaster to reset that link but it took a long time and they made it seem like they made a huge exception for the guy.

Was the other guy still able to add his tickets to his wallet, or was his account now only associated with M's wallet?

Was the other guy still able to add his tickets to his wallet, or was his account now only associated with M's wallet?
No the other guy can’t activate his tickets now either, they can only activate each others haha

F2F is transferable no?
Hard no. F2F can only be sold on TM site and you cannot designate them for a specific person (that would be a "transfer"). This is the cause of much frustration because as soon as you release them for sale, its a free-for-fall race to see who gets to cart and purchase them first. Bots and other folks who are monitoring constantly are ready to pounce.

But they are 10C tickets correct?
Not exclusively. Any tickets purchased on TM are being resold on F2F. 10C, Artist Presale, PJ Premium...

I understand the difference between trying to transfer your 10C tickets without using TM. But they should not allow F2F for 10C tickets, I equate that as a "transfer" even though it is not the same as trying to give your 10C tickets to another fan without going through F2F. And I understand the TM process very well. It never works out well for the true fan. Transfers of 10C tickets should not be allowed, no matter the method IMHO.

FLA2 on the other hand... ugh.
The main reason I keep going to PJ is because the product they’re putting out is still absolute fire, and I need to see them as many times as possible before they’re done. But this system makes it’s so much more difficult to even be excited about it.

Premium prices are a big reason the Scalping prices are so High on the Secondary market? (My guess is Yes)
