I’ve encountered this before. Here’s the issue- a TM account can only be linked with a single apple wallet at a time. Once someone saves tickets from a TM account to their apple wallet, their TM account is permanently linked with that wallet. That means that if they log into their TM account on someone else’s phone and try to save the tickets to that phone’s wallet, the passes will be disabled. The better way is for him (if he is willing) to share his TM account login info with you on the day of the show, you scan the barcodes on the app instead of using the wallet, and once he confirms that you have successfully entered the venue, he changes his password for security purposes. Hope this helps!
Can confirm this is accurate in my experience too. Only way is to use the TM app to scan in with someone else’s tickets, which shouldn’t be a problem at all as long as the other person agrees to it. They just need to change their password once you’re inside if it’s a concern but since it’s through the boards I would assume both parties are trustworthy
It does. Fan to fan is awful, too. They code our tickets with TTFC1 for ten club members. We should be able to transfer/sell to other ten club members without this hassle.
All that's sacred, comes from youth...

It does. It has been this way since 2023. In 2022 we could load into our wallets. But as everyone said, you can still use the tickets. You just need to delete them from your wallet, and use the person's login when you go to the show. Also, make sure that they are not in their wallet when you use them so you can scan the barcode directly from their account. It's a pain, but it should work ok.
Don’t add to the wallet. Just use within the app or website. Kudus to @tommymueller9 !!!! for hooking you up. It gives hope for those of us looking for shows.
It seems like there are no *great* options for fans to swap/share tickets:
Meet up and scan in person. This only works if you'll both be at each other's shows, so not feasible for everyone.
Share credentials. This poses significant risk for either party if there are other tickets in a TM account.
Time a sale on TM. With open season on reseller markets and bots in the mix now, this is very risky.
I realized there's a 4th method which might work and has less potential downside than all the others. I just don't have any shows coming up between now and PJ, but maybe somebody wants to test it with a +1?
Caveat: This requires both parties to have an iPhone.
Start a FaceTime call with your trade buddy.
Ticket holder shares their whole screen.
Ticket holder launches the TM app.
The Ticket recipient can swipe the video off screen and tap to zoom in, basically filling their whole phone screen with the Ticket Holder's TM app view. The barcodes will update in real-time on the recipient's view.
The ticket holder should be able to hear what's going on and swipe to the next barcode after the first ticket scan.
It's definitely a bit clunky. But it works when 2 fans aren't going to the same shows, it doesn't give anyone else access to your account, and it doesn't risk losing the tickets through F2F. 🤷♂️
The biggest risks are:
heavy traffic or poor connectivity prevents a responsive artifact-free screenshare.
some overzealous ticket scanner notices that little FaceTime call indicator or just feels like something is *off* and decides to make a big deal about it. Not sure how that would go, as I'm not sure there's anything anywhere that explicitly prevents this. You're technically showing them the live barcode from inside the ticket holder's ticketmaster app.
I know tickets aren’t active until week of the show but if you view your tickets now in the app it says “add to wallet to enter event”. Was this message popping up last year? I don’t recall

Very interesting. Was wondering how there are so many tix on stubhub going for crazy prices, including GA, which I thought were 10C only tickets. No idea how you get away selling at those rates, but I guess you have to show up in person with them? kind of scummy to the 10clubers as well. I've been able to buy/sell tix on F2F multiple times and while it can get dicey timing the drops I think only once it didn't work (someone snapped it up)

Yep it shouldn’t be a problem. @mcgruff10 you can rest easy. I’ve done it many times without issue. Barcodes should appear 48-72 hours before the show. Now who wants to trade me one of their Pitt N1 GAs for one of my Pitt N2 GAs so I can join mcgruff in the pit? 😀

The link worked even with my credit card declining it then sending me a stupid text code. Ugh. My hands were shaking. It was about 2-3 minutes before the link went live.

Wow, that’s amazing! So nerve wracking. Glad it worked out!

Did you get a countdown clock of 8-10 minutes where they were being held in your cart?

I doubt it. You only get those when they are newly released tix from TM. When it’s F2F there is no hold. You’ve got to beat everyone else.
It s official!! Got the link and it worked. Thanks again @tommymueller9 !!!!!
Congrats! This is the way people! Please coordinate with someone before releasing tickets. It’s not a guarantee but it can work. With that said, if anyone else has GA tix for Pitt 1 or 2 I would definitely appreciate the hook up.
