    So my final word on this: I had a blast the two times this tour I was in GA. People were warm and kind and generous. Our interactions made time fly. There was only ONE person from the "rail gang" who was openly hostile toward me for some reason. It's extremely unfair to condemn a group of people for the behavior of an individual. I like those I met & enjoyed their company.
    10/10 would do this again.

    Every single one of these stories has an "except for" or a "but." Why should "you'll probably get at least a little hostility" be the baseline for a group of fans camping out to see their favorite band?

    Anyone else notice how many more people were in the ga pit on night 2? It was rammed. They even ran out of bracelets, I think because they weren’t scanning your ticket and then giving you the bracelet my guess is a bunch of people used screenshots of ga tickets to get in.

    I had an incident with a guy on the rail in Los Angeles. He wanted my friend to back up so he could set his drink on the ground. She wasn’t even that close to him. We both told him off and he eventually backed off and then made nice with us. I’ve had my time on the rail, but some of these people think they own the rail and those spots. Good thing I don’t camp anymore because these people wouldn’t get away with it if they aren’t there for the majority the time. You have to be seen and put the time in. Not just have friends save spots. It’s BS.

    I’m really sorry that you had a bad experience, I can’t fathom why anyone would have a reason to be hostile to you of all people. I’m glad to have met you and thank you for Grievance!

    The reason?  Probably because she’s not in the rail club and they felt threatened by an outsider.  It’s the whole point of this thread. So much for the line policing itself.
