Hey there, so that drive is around 3 hours to get here (Pittsburgh). So you will get into town around 7ish. If it’s the Friday show, you will have more traffic (rush hour) heading towards the Ft Pitt tunnels, this takes you right into the city. Plus you will have the ladder part of concert traffic. Then once in town, it really is not far at all, but things get congested, especially trying to get close to PPG arena. I’d think you should be able to get parked and in by 8:00pm if all goes good, maybe slightly earlier depending on where you try and park/and get to the arena. Good luck, any more info needed just askChris C. said:Hey everyone!!! looking for some information regarding traffic around the arena in Pittsburgh. Problem is, we haven't seen PJ since 2014 in Cincy and it's been since 2010 they have been in Columbus. We’re thinking of driving over from Columbus, however, we won't be able to leave until 4ish. What is traffic and parking around the arena around that time? We really want to see them since it's been so long but don't want to deal with the headache of making it there on time. Any information anyone has will be greatly appreciated!!!!0 -
Got shut out w/ 10Club but my buddy scored extras today with the regular sale so 2 nights of PJ in Pittsburgh is on!0

Honestly that walk is not a great one. That really isn’t a great area to be walking in late. I would not make that walk, or stay in that area (as someone who has lived here for 40+ years). Nor would I suggest a friend of mine to take that walk after a show. There are some newer developments in that area (between the arena/lower hill and Oakland/Pitt campus), that are nicer, but I’d still be cautious. Especially at that time of night. Hopefully that helps some. If you need any other info/suggestions I’ll keep an eye out and try to respond.ReleaseMe said:Pittsburgh locals, trying to canvass boarding and found a location at the Hill District, Centre/Reed and Centre/Kirpatrick area - how would the walk be after an event?

I just realized this show will fall on the 25th anniversary of Binaural. I wouldn't want to hear the entire album live at the show, but would love for them to drop a few tunes. It used to be a rough part of town, but its turned around a lot in the last several years. You could always look at Squirrel Hill, Shady Side, or even Oakland. The areas near Carngie Mellon are really nice. Pitt's campus is fun and has a very city feel to it.Johnny Abruzzo said:How's the East Liberty neighborhood? I actually dig Of The Girl as an opener and was happy they opened the most recent show I've been to (Philly) with it. Like you though, I could live without Light Years. And you know what's a song I hated when it came out, but appreciated it a little once I saw them play it live? Evacuation. When Binaural came out, I thought it was the worst song they ever made. But when they played it at MSG in 2003, I turned to my friend and I said, "I take it back, Evacuation is good!"Gern Blansten said:
