I just realized this show will fall on the 25th anniversary of Binaural. I wouldn't want to hear the entire album live at the show, but would love for them to drop a few tunes. Grievance, Insignificance, and NAIS in particular.
yeah...I'm hoping for something other than Light Years or Of the Girl. Grievance and Insig would be awesome.
And night 2 will be an anniversary of Cornell's death
I actually dig Of The Girl as an opener and was happy they opened the most recent show I've been to (Philly) with it. Like you though, I could live without Light Years. And you know what's a song I hated when it came out, but appreciated it a little once I saw them play it live? Evacuation. When Binaural came out, I thought it was the worst song they ever made. But when they played it at MSG in 2003, I turned to my friend and I said, "I take it back, Evacuation is good!"
"Sad" would be a nice Binaural-adjacent treat as well.
oh I love OTG...just would like to hear the others. I've seen OTG twice live...also Insig and Grievance twice but I sure as hell don't remember them.
And yeah I have always like Evacuation. I remember people really dogging it but it's a Matt song which I tend to favor. I still haven't caught that one live.
Love Sad...I've seen it three times over the years
I was a late starter to catching a lot of their live shows so I didn't catch the Binaural or Riot Act tours
Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018) The Golden Age is 2 months away. And guess what….. you’re gonna love it! (teskeinc 11.19.24)

Well then you need to download my Binaural Live Mix from my PJ bootleg site.....
If you stay across one of the rivers from the downtown PPG Arena area, is it walkable to the arena across either one?

How's the East Liberty neighborhood? I know, not super close to the arena.
It used to be a rough part of town, but its turned around a lot in the last several years. You could always look at Squirrel Hill, Shady Side, or even Oakland. The areas near Carngie Mellon are really nice. Pitt's campus is fun and has a very city feel to it.
Agree with this 👆. Another good location would be over in the North Shore (by PNC Park and Acrisure Stadium), not that far from the arena, plenty of bars/restaurants
Told my son Friday I got us tickets to night 1, and I’ll try to get us in for night 2. Little does he know, Dad already got us in for night 2! He will open this “ticket” I made for him on Christmas. Can’t wait to see his reaction! And yes, the right side (Stick Man) is a tear off

It’s an easier walk from the North Shore (Allegheny River, PNC Park/Acrisure Stadium), compared to the South Side (Monongahela River). There is also the “T” (underground trolly) that has a stop close to the arena that can take you to the North Shore, or can take you to Station Square (South Side). Always can grab a Uber to help with getting somewhere.

What an awesome Christmas gift!!! I’m sure his reaction will be priceless!

Easily walkable to the Southside and if you stay on the north shore you can take the t and get off at steel plaza which is 2 minutes from arena. The T is our faux version of a subway /the l (chicago) hybrid.
Interested in tickets for either show if you are dropping!

I am looking for 2 tickets preferably N2 in Pitt but N1 doesn't hurt. I totally messed up during the sale.....sure hope they come closer to Buffalo/Toronto
What are we guessing the theme of the posters? Something with Franco Harris? Myron Cope (you know... he's our Harry Caray), Mister Rogers? A paint can (the arena is called the paint can due to its shape and being named by PPG which produces cans of paint amongst many other materials)? Something referencing RandyLand (yeah probably a stretch)? Kennywood? Ken Rice's eyebrows? Eat n Park smiley cookie?
