Sux. Feel better. I got it like 2 years ago. Felt really bad for about 3 days. Big part why I don't travel or do shows anymore. Also the shorter sets and ticket nonsense.

Speedy recovery. Take it easy, rest up, drink water and Gatorade so you don't dehydrate. Take Tylenol for symptoms.

Both times I got it, I was at a PJ concert days prior

Hope you deal with it quickly and without any sort of issues.

I had the same situation, avoided it for 4 years, came home with it from the MSG shows

Thanks... anyone else who was in Australia get it?  I know it'll be impossible to figure out where I caught it.

Does it take 3 days for symptoms to show? Figure the incubation period for Your variant to narrow it down

Someone posted somewhere on reddit they found out a day after one of the Melbourne concerts that they had COVID and was probably infectious in the Golden Circle up the front.

I wasn't up front for Melb...I figure there were many people who could have spread. It probably was last Melb show.

Hope you feel better soon. Its the fatigue that gets you so lots of rest and binge watching tv is my recommendation- given its your first hopefully its only mild too.

so far i feel fine although the amount of people coughing and sneezing on my flight out of Sydney- I dont see it being long til I get some kind of covid/cold/viral symptoms. Always the plane and packed train journeys for me- the outside gigs should be less spreadable one wouls think

    get well soon

You almost certainly have one of the Omicron subvariants. All of the circulating strains have been of the Omicron lineage for a couple of years. Alpha, Beta, Delta are all ancient history at this point.

Pour one out for Delta. That was the one that got me-- before we even knew it was a thing! I'm such a trendsetter...
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I've only had it once.  Picked it up at the Oakland 2022 shows.  Super sore throat and a bit of a runny nose, but it wasn't that bad.    I guess if I had a straight that one wasn't a bad one to get.

that's impressive to have been able to avoid it this long. Shows how fucking random it is. I know people who barely leave the house who have gotten it multiple times. And others who go to anything and everything, be socializing with a group that all came down with it, and they were fine. So bizarre.

Exactly the same for me. Avoided it until MSG '22, got it again Seattle '24.

Hope your case is mild. The fatigue, for me, took awhile to resolve, so be kind to yourself with rest.

I actually feel worse that your trip ended (I think?) before that last Sydney set! (But you may have been too sick to go.)
