    Wow!!!
Just out of interest I wonder what the actual crowd figures were for both Melbourne and Sydney shows. Surely there is some official attendance!? Melbourne 1 was the biggest crowd I’ve seen at that venue and I went into Melb 2 with much lower expectations but the crowd was still pretty big, bigger than I expected. No wonder the band have been blown away by the crowds!

  • Was not there, but for 2024 PJ this is about as good of a setlist as you could hope for.  Can’t wait to listen.
"What can you expect when you're on top? You know? It's like Napoleon. When he was the king, you know, people were just constantly trying to conquer him, you know, in the Roman Empire. So, it's history repeating itself all over again."

Just back in Scotland from Australia and what a way to end these four shows. Felt like their sets were rather 'safe' until the last show and then we got a killer one right at the end. They were on top form and that setlist was terrific. I knew from Brain of J. that we were getting something truly special. Tremor Christ, Dissident, Hunger Strike (!!), Immortality, Spin the Black Circle, Alone, Yellow Wing... totally out of this world!

Still not a fan of the Australian crowds, they're very... pedestrian, let's say. But very glad I was in the depths of Golden Circle for this one.

2022 – Copenhagen, Hyde Park I, St. Louis

When PJ played Marvel back in 2009 the attendance was 47k I think. 58k blows my mind!

  • Dang, I just watched Save you and that is a great modern day version.  I know the Ed hat thing has been beaten to death but his hat falls off at the end - he should just not wear a hat, looks better!

Ed talked about it being 10 years since they toured Australia and that they won't wait as long next time. Next year of the year after. Maybe solo Ed if the band cant make it. Let's hope so.

Commenting for posterity that I was holding onto the record of having last seen No Surrender on 6/3/06 but no more.  What a setlist though!!!
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

He made it sound like they had a placeholder on the venue itself. That hopefully means another Pearl Jam tour soon!
