    I’m in favour of increasing government efficiency. I’m also highly skeptical that this cabal of self-serving humans will be the ones to do so. More in character is the notion that they find ways to further enrich themselves at the expense of taxpayers. If it happens to do both (enrichment and efficiency), still an improvement.

He realistically owes a lot to these guys and, if you're a Democrat, this is a far better outcome for them than many alternatives.
