Many Americans voted for Donald Trump because they believed in his policies and felt he offered a path to a better future for their families. It's unfair and harmful to label Trump voters as inherently 'stupid' or 'racist.' People vote based on what aligns best with their values, concerns, and hopes for their loved ones. Healthy discourse should allow room for differences without vilifying or dehumanizing one another. We are all working toward what we believe is best, and everyone deserves respect for their perspectives and choices

This country is a joke. Embarrassing to live in America with people who would vote for that disgrace. We all warned you. Lies, insults and felonies, the way to be president. Pathetic.

Either way, each party or candidate referred to some of our friends, family members, co-workers, and most importantly in this instance fellow citizens as trash or being from a trash island. Not a good look and not the way to go about it. We need to be united. My alignment with all the candidates ranged from 85% to 53%. We are aligned more than we think, yet we vilify the other party over that 25 to 30% that we disagree on. This country is more purple than red or blue.

Just curious what his policies are?
And he had 4 years to give Americans his better affordable health care plan, but that never materialized. He did however break the existing, working system.
I've heard him say he has concepts of a plan, nothing more.

This phrase doesn't align with what MAGA says out of their mouths.  Prime example is the latest MSG Trump rally.  That was racist.  "They are eating the cats and dogs..."  Etc.  I used to think it was a joke in a way.  And that people who supported this were just trolling or something.  But wow.  No.  You really "value" this.

Everyone deserves respect you say?  That isn't a MAGA value.  Taking away people's rights IS NOT respecting their perspective and choices.

Many non-wealthy people are "tricked" in to voting against their own interests, simply by the promise of white supremacy, where they can still kind of feel ok about themselves not achieving much in life if they feel that others are below them in the system.  That is what I refer to as stupid.  Policy wise, Kamala was the obvious choice.  Another example of this kind of thing is Texas re-electing Ted Cruz.  The other candidate clearly had the better policy.  But Cruz was more "white".  Very pathetic.  Again, "stupid" and "racist".

He has clearly stated that he doesn't believe in Climate Change and that he will not care about the planet. In what way will that offer a better future for regular folks future and families.

It is harmful to not label people voting for that type of shit as "stupid" or "emphatically bankrupt".

While the hatred toward those who voted for Trump is expected from the losing party the reality is the Dems have nobody to blame but themselves for the Republican victory.
If you can't win an election with everything going for you including: (women's rights, a black female candidate, the support of almost every major media outlet, 3 times the amount of campaign funds, support of Hollywood and the biggest stars in the music industry plus an opposition candidate who is accused of being Hitler), then there must be another issue.
That problem was installing a DEI hire empty pantsuit as their candidate and triing to sneak her across the finish line without offering any policies, calling her opponent a fascist and his supporters garbage. Based on the resounding Republican victory up and down the ticket its obvious America wasn't buying the bullshit the Democrats were selling.
So call us all the names that you want because that's what you do best.

  • Not gonna re-litigate this, my side lost. but I do wonder, and this is a serious, non-troll question. What do you like about Pearl Jam music? How do you square the lyrics with your own personal beliefs? Or the ethos of the band as a whole, which is frequently stated outright at shows and in every other available outlet. I'd never go to a Lee Greenwood or Toby Keith or Kid Rock show because their material and their beliefs would irritate me beyond any pleasure the music might bring. This honestly confuses me, I just couldn't ever stand giving my money to someone who fundamentally disagreed with everything I believe where those tenets are intrinsic to the music and the band. Do you just not pay attention to the lyrics? Take a piss whenever Eddie talks? How do you get through a show?

I’ve regularly disagreed with some of the stances the band has taken over the years but have always respected their conviction. If I don’t agree with something said on stage (such as 2016 when he talked so glowingly of Justin Trudeau) I simply don’t clap or cheer and refrain from being disruptive in the moment.

I personally appreciate a good political song but prefer individual stories, and I’m happy to follow an artist on their journey and see where they take me.

I’ll never tell any artist to “shut up and play.”

Right on.  I know not all are bad.  I reacted when I should have responded.  And I agree on talking more. There's much more at play here behind the scenes than just left vs right.  We all benefit from uniting.  I mean there's a reason they push to divide us.  Cheers and let's hope for some awesome Pearl Jam shows in the future.

Apologies to anyone I offended with my earlier comment.  Not all who voted for Trump are bad.  I know some good people who did, and I'm very confused, but they believe the info they received.

You think Trumps many many statements are a good look? America died yesterday. Country is a clown show. Embarrassing. Don’t say you weren’t warned. These clown supporters are going to realize this was a huge mistake and they will have to live with it. Buckle up.

Not sure where I heard it before, but there was some mention of the higher ups desire to erase the middle class.  This would certainly help with that agenda.

Heard another mention about a significant global event happening in 2030.  There's a lot of rabbit holes if you look and research.  Not all is true.  But part of the "higher ups" culture is to hide in plain site.  Just look at the $1 bill.  I take what I hear with a grain of salt, while also making sure not to just sweep everything under the rug as conspiracy.

This isn't a left vs right thing.  There world is a stage.  Take magicians for example, they always distract you away from the site of action.  Smoke and mirrors.  Sleight of hand.  The higher ups have people focused on "the left did this", or "the right said that", while they are scheming behind the scenes at something else.  But this message won't reach the masses, and they will continue to do as they do, as the masses are in the brilliantly schemed, and socially engineered society, that the higher ups designed, and have been perfecting for centuries.

Sadly, division is expected as I don't see the masses "waking up".  Another big red flag when political leaders push that the word "woke" is a bad thing, when it means "awake" or "aware".  Aware of knowledge and truth.  The current leaders say that's bad?  They don't want you to seek knowledge or truth.  I don't trust either political party.  It is just a system to divide.  Pay attention, protect yourself and your loved ones.  Best wishes to all.

Yes because that totally happened before. Jesus we're turning into a world of pessimists. You woke up today and are living you're life yeah? Keep that idea alive instead of propagating fake end time messages to people who are all gunna have to live through the next 4 years together.

It could be so much worse, you have no idea.

EDIT: PJ chose not to tour much in the years 2017-2019. Nobodys fault but their own
