Good lord the comments on Instagram on this. Wow…WTF?

Surprised? You shouldn’t be. When PJ supports establishment, anti-free speech candidates, you know the world is upside down. Eddie has daughters, and is pro-woman, which is great, but when you fall in love with a side that is now anti-woman (transgenders in women sports), you have, as Fonzie did, Jumped then shark. Emhoff assaulted his ex-girlfriend, and got his nanny pregnant. You don’t have to like Trump, but when you become so famous and isolated, this is what happens. You look past all the things you hate, and beome the things you hate. BTW, PJ is a big part of my life, I’m just sad it’s come to this

I would say abolishing Roe V Wade is way more anti woman than anything transgender people do or don’t do. And if you guys are so hard up about where a transgender person plays sports or goes to the bathroom, man, you’re living a damn good life. I wish that was my biggest concern. You’re right, I don’t have to like Trump, and I will look past certain things so I don’t have to live under a fascist dictator.

LOL...anti free speech? Let me guess..you are a trump supporter even though he's talking about taking licenses away from major news networks?

The assault allegations seem weak to me. He supposedly slapped her and she slapped him back. Unfortunate but not really anything criminal and his ex wife has nothing but good things to say.

But you keep supporting the guy that rapes women! MAGA! Murikka!

It's a bad look. It reminds me of when Ed gave his cringeworthy speech defending Bill Murray's honor in L.A. in 2022 (if I remember correctly). It looks out of touch and hypocritical (believe women, but not when they're accusing famous people who are my friends). And for what? Is there a single voter who was going to stay home on November 5 who will be motivated to vote because members of Pearl Jam cozied up to one of the candidate's spouses? It's even harder to imagine that anyone who plans to vote for Trump will change their minds because of this.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

Going on social media and putting any support behind Trump is past embarrassing. The fact the guy gets even one vote is baffling. The comments by some of the Russian bots and cult members is cringy and I just laugh. When you believe all the lies then lying yourself is easy I guess. The choice is simple. Vote Blue, put an end to the con artist Un American scam and his cult members . Vote Blue!

Wait who is protecting democracy?  Only one candidate was anointed with zero primary votes.  This is hilarious.

You talking about the candidate who made up a lie about the election being stolen, who tried to find votes illegally, who tried to stop the peaceful transfer of power, who tried to get fake electors in the swing states, who almost got his VP killed , who lies , cries and moans about his problems and is a convicted felon and racist, you mean that guy?

He’s certainly not perfect.. far from it actually.  But at least he’s legitimate.  The day we let a political party select their candidate is the day we let democracy die.

He’s 10000% not legitimate. Jan 6th proves that. He’s a felon and con artist. If you think Don believes in democracy then I feel bad for you. The cult has taken you over. Lies lies lies lies. The fact that he’s even the republican candidate is sad and pathetic. It proves the Republican Party is a mess.

That's what they do in Sweden, and to my knowledge Sweden doesn't have a political system being one party away from being a dictatorship. And ~85% vote in the general election. And no one has to "register to vote" or any other non-democratic hassles. Democracy seems to work relatively well.

Who is the audience for listening to the vice presidents husband....

Why would Eddie and Jeff even want to talk with someone's husband, even if they wanted to cozy up with "establishment politicians".

He is campaigning for his wife like any other person on the campaign team.  Ed and Jeff want her to win so they interview someone on her campaign that happens to be her husband.  The husband of a VP is more well known as well than some campaign surrogate.

I was in my early-20's in 2000 when they supported Ralph Nader, an environmentalist and consumer advocate that talked about how broken the two party system was.  You knew damn well he wasn't going to win, but at least it got people to pay attention to somebody outside of "the system"... it did for me at least.  Maybe it's not red vs. blue, good vs. bad... maybe it's actually bad vs. bad, Tweedle Dumb vs. Tweedle Dumber.  I thought it was cool back then, but maybe I was just more impressionable.

These days it's difficult for me to stomach.  These guys undoubtedly do amazing things (skate parks, EB research, etc. etc.), but they're 30+ years separated from being an "average Joe"... not to mention all having net worths probably above $80 million each.  The mental and physical health of this country is in bad shape... and "the haves" love that we're fighting it out, squabbling thinking that our candidate really gives a fuck.

You are dead wrong. For most of the history of this country, the parties selected the candidates. Primaries were non-existent until the 20th century, and primaries did not determine a majority of a party's convention delegates until the 1970s. To learn more about this, check out https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/a-brief-history-of-presidential-primaries.

Stop making this specious argument. Trump tried to steal the election. He sanctioned fake electors. He instructed the Georgia secretary of state to "find" non-existent votes. You cannot credibly claim that he is the candidate that stands for "democracy." It is even more ironic to do so because the only reason he was elected once is that the way in which we elect our presidents is *not* democratic. He won without earning even a plurality of the vote in a presidential election. (He didn't reach 47 percent of the vote in either election.)

No one candidate is ever going to align with all of my views on every subject.  But there is such a vast difference between the quality of the candidates I don’t even understand how it’s close.  Trump is such a simple, obvious, con man and it saddens me that this many people have fallen for his grift.  Do I agree with all of Kamala’s views, nope but it’s like if you had a choice to eat a cheeseburger or a pile of dog shit, and your like “but does the cheeseburger has pickles on it?”

I saw Neil Young in 2010 and he was playing Le Noise songs. Afterwards waiting for a trolley this guy goes "I wish he didn't do all that political stuff." Jeez, like Ohio or "look at mother nature on the run in the 1970s". These people must live under rocks.
