When do we get to see/order this year’s Halloween shirt?  They have been a bit hit or miss but am hoping for a good one!

If we don't get it until the 10th, good luck getting it by Halloween.

With 10C shipping what it is, I feel like these shirts should go on sale in mid-September. Yeah, it's weird that people get in the mood for one day when it's still summer (don't they know Halloween means it's almost winter?) but the reality is that 10C needs to account for shipping times.

Please make it happen, and soon .. so those who live outside the USA could receive it before Halloween.

Could have had something cool "Dark matter" related. And hopefully this time without it swiping other peoples art.

Been disappointed with the political Halloween shirts...  That is what we'd get anyways. They don't do anything fun anymore.

    Boo hiss.

    Let me design one!

Psycho killers/monsters are one thing, but I don't really get the appeal of Freddie. People dress like him and idolize him. Dude was a child molester. I just can't get past that fact. I've always felt that way about him. I mean, cool costume, but for some reason that goes beyond just brutally killing someone like Myers and Jason.
I'm wondering if the shirt has gone the way of the vaults.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2
    2024 Sacramento, CA

Perhaps it will be listed on 10/10?  I’d guess political theme again.

    His name is ”Freddy”

Where in the orginal film(s) does it state or revolve around him being a child molestor?

He didn’t get huge in popular culture as ”freddy krueger the famous on screen child molestor” (not saying it wasn't Cravens original intention)

    Part 1:

Not from what - from whom. Come down to the cellar. You wanna know who Fred Krueger was? He was a filthy child murderer who killed at least 20 kids in the neighborhood... kids we all knew.

    Part 3:

His name is Freddy Krueger. He was a His name is Freddy Krueger. He was a child murderer when he was alive. After he died, he became something much, much worse.

Was hoping earlier so they they will arrive in Canada before Devil's Night, but it feels like it'll be a Ten of the Month release.

And yeah if they do a Halloween shirt this year, crossing fingers it's not political.
  • Child murderer > child molester? I came here looking for info about a shirt and now am perplexed. And disturbed.

Incorrect.  Wes Craven/Robert Englund's Freddy was a child killer. Not a molester.

In the 2010 remake, he was portrayed as a child molester but most people don't acknowledge that movie because Craven and Englund were not involved.

Just to balance the discussion a bit, even though my post above is in line with yours.

He was originally written/thought out as a child molester. And I think Craven has even stated to him he is one. But anything regarding that was taken out before the shooting script/shooting of the film. Where he is simply described as a murderer. Obviously being (sexually) creepy to the teens in the film, like with the phone-tounge. But it was explicitly chosen to not include him as having molested the kids he had killed. And as a kid I don't remember us ever talking about him as a molester, but merely a killer who got his revenge. But I also don't remember idolizing the character - and I was 10-12. Maybe other kids and older kids saw it as clear as day him being a molester.

In the background of one of the later films (part 5?), there is a clipping describing him as a molester. But that is a prop made by someone, whoever and doesn't have to have even been seen by the director or writer or producer. I am sure New Line even by then wanted to keep him "your friendly neighborhood over-the-top pop culture killer"

Should be noted that it is hard to not interpret Jason as having raped the main character in F13th part 3. I would say that is going "beyond only brutally killing" also. He spares kids ofc though.

Here is Guns N Roses swiping a photograph for a bland Freddy-shirt. I hope when the day comes and we get something Elm Street-referenced PJ's artists doesn't swipe:
