It was another election year, so they pulled out an intense version of Masters of War. Down, Society, plus an amazing version of Black with all the flashlights and Bronson Arroyo sitting in (pic below). They played Strangest Tribe, for crying out loud! Great fucking show.0

Philly, Boston, MSG, blah blah blah
All I know is that whenever they decide to put on their big boy pants and make their way to Alpine Valley in little ol’ East Troy, WI, something special will happen. There's a trapdoor in the sun.0 -

The crowd, for me, is the crowd. Crowd has to really make me notice one way(loud/crazy, etc.) or the other(basically sitting on their hands, not seemed to be into the show, etc.)
Hartford 2010 was a good/fun show and that crowd bought it that night.
So, the crowd has a far smaller percentage of casuals than shows in the bigger markets. Has made for some great crowds and great shows in that city.
I wish they played ther this Tour. Maybe next time they tour East Coast? If so, I'll try my best to be ther.Haha…you’re partially right, but let’s start with the fans in CT, Western Mass, RI, northern NE (VT, NH & ME), upstate NY, and probably Canada too…It's a F'ing melting pot!!!Hartford is right in the middle of the whole NE region, easy access in/out, and without dealing with the cluster fuck of all the big cities. It’s a smaller city that doesn’t necessarily have all the amenities or options the bigger metro areas have, but it’s a lot cheaper, there's plenty of good places to eat & drink, and you can actually tailgate, throw a frisbee, find some green space, or do whatever you so choose.I’m still surprised they decided to skip this stop the past few years??? The demand in the northeast has always far exceeded the supply and Hartford just gave everyone another option or opportunity to have a chance… They easily could’ve done two sell out shows every tour. The last PJ show I saw in Hartford (10/25/13) was the greatest show that I’ve ever witnessed, experienced, and actually felt a part of, as so many of us have over the years...I really hope that we get at least one more chance to do it again! Most fans want a smaller show closer to home. Pearl Jam playing Fenway? Hell yes, wish I could have gone. I do not understand the dislike for the large venues. Is there some place you would rather be at that time?0

This was the only night I could make on this tour. I paid a pretty $ to see it but it was a great show by all accounts. My first time at Fenway! The energy and crowd near me were great, with the exception of a couple bros that had to let everyone around them know that Eddie needs to “just play music” when he barely touched on politics, and other bullshit comments during I Am A Patriot.
I think the set list was great for anyone who hasn’t been to a show or seen them in a while. Lots of good hits and a few deep cuts. I’ve seen almost all those songs in my limited set of shows I’ve been to and probably would have enjoyed N1 better. But still great!
I appreciate everyone’s passion about the other shows. They are good recommendations for the boots I want to listen to, though those never capture the full experience of the energy of the show.Post edited by matt.watt on0 -
I had Field Box 59 seats for Fenway night 2 and there was a huge gap with the mesh so I could see the stage perfectly fine, not that the netting was terrible.0

What a shitty night that was lol"Hey, listen asshole, one more fucker throws a fuckin' quarter up here and we're outta here, I'm tellin' ya, FUCKER! What the fuck, you're blowin' it for fuckin' everybody. Hit me with a fuckin' quarter again and, fuck it, I'm outta here. We're all outta here. Fuck you, and if anyone sees someone throw fuckin' change right next to them, you have my permission to beat the fuckin' holy shit outta them."0
