Incredible show last night! After two shows at MSG, the Dark Matter repeats felt noticeable, but not a complaint.

Yes! Please and thank you. I caught it on the spring leg, but it needs a lot more love.

  • So I've been a fan since the early 90s, but this was the first time I was able to get to a show. It honestly felt like a gift from the universe! CD/COT was a dream of mine to hear live. I'm going back again on monday (with better seats) and can't wait. So much gratitude to PJ and the amazing gift that their music is and was.
  • Was lucky enough to get GA-Pit tickets for this one, and my wife and I are still buzzing from the show.  First time I've been in the pit for a PJ show, and my wife has some claustrophobia issues so I thought we might have to eventually bail out toward the back.  The vibe in there was unbelievable, though - everyone respected everyone else's personal space (until the big clown violently pushed past us to get to the front - that was when Eddie stopped the song to very politely ask him to leave the area), and the show was just epic.  Band was feeding off the energy of the crowd, bouncing around like they were 25 again.  Amazing show.

Little bit of a mellow vibe in the parking lot prior to the show. Everybody tailgating just kind of hanging out. Then the rainbows happened and the sun came blazing through Something Special was going to happen.
As long, I’ve only posted a handful of times I’ve been to 40+ shows but this one was really unexpected. There was a surge of energy that happened. I’ve seen a lot of shows but I can’t really remember a show like last night. Maybe MSG two in 1998?
I was there to hear the new music.. I didn’t really have any expectations other than just hoping to hear a lot of the new stuff. The older stuff I had enough of… But those older songs became celebrations last night and I guess there’s just something about that city and that band.…What a fun night.

Ha - we were sitting right across the aisle from you (I would remember that Clash tee anywhere - have the same one!).  Amazing show and so glad you and the fam / friends had such a blast.  Rainbows were the perfect rush pre-show.  I guess everyone love rainbow!  Best show of the tour.

That was truly an amazing show all around! I have never seen the crowd so pumped as that and it just drove the band to another level. Fantastic!
  • Never miss a Philly show, indeed!  I've considered Breath my white whale for 20 years and it was even better than I could have hoped for.  I thought Glen set a great tone and halfway through Long Road, you could just tell this was going to be one for the books.  Special shoutout to the floor section 6...you brought it.  What a treat!

I'm not sure how they can top this show on Monday but they will. It is the best setlist of the tour & in my top 3 of all time. My face is still recovering from Mike melting it 😵‍💫

Wasn’t planning on Philly, but decided last minute to go after some persuasion from friends/hearing so many positive things about past shows there.  Wowwww. It did not disappoint. Had done my last 4 shows of this tour in GA including both MSG, but this Philly show was something special despite being seated.. crowd energy, setlist flow, band engagement, etc. Really enjoyed seeing multigenerational family members in my section 113 having a blast together, singing and dancing along to the songs. Highlights for me included Red Mosquito, Brain of J, Breath, Last Exit, Chloe/Crown. So happy I went. Incredible show.

Last night was magical. Other than the show where I was on the rail and Eddie sang Porch into my face, it may be my top show. The setlist. The energy. I cried like a baby, lost my voice screaming my lungs out, and peed my pants when they went from Chloe to SOLAT. I am going to Fenway next weekend, but I am not sure it can compare to last night.
    I miss you alreddie.

Now that I've had a day & a half to digest what we saw Saturday night, and think on it a bit more... I think that goes down as the 2nd best PJ show I've ever seen, after Hartford '13.

Fenway 2 '16, b2b Philly '16 shows, Brooklyn 2 '13 and Denver '14 are my other top shows, but there was something 'extra' that happened on Saturday and in Hartford 11 years ago... that this band can still come out and do a show like that after 33 years is something to behold and appreciate.

I only decided to make the run down to Philly on Friday night.... I'm so freaking glad I did. Shout out to Mrs. Merkin Baller for being the coolest wife in the world and putting up with my bullshit.

Been seeing PJ since 98… been to roughly 30 shows over the years. I’ve been fortunate enough to see some classic shows / setlists.

    This show….vintage.

The crowd, the band, the entire energy of the show… It all just flowed.

So grateful to have been a part of it… And so grateful these guys keep going.

    See you in Baltimore!
  • also noteworthy since I think it's only the second time Breath, State of Love and Trust and Crown of Thorns were played in the same show. The other being 12/6/2013 in Seattle.

Best part about tonight was the unknown of what was coming next.
I’d also like to say…the way Ed sang that Baba line a cappella to get back into the song was the best I’ve heard him sing in years. End of the show too, crushed it.
    100% / that 5 second a capella was INSANE.
This made me go back and review the tape. Yep, sounded awesome. This will be one of those millisecond show moments that I return to in my memory -- for me its these mini moments/memories that are the reason to see as many shows as possible.

We’re all talking about how that might have been one of the best shows they’ve ever played…and we’re not complaining that it was 2 hours 20 minutes, nor are we complaining about ticket prices. All about what they do with that time and the atmosphere.

Almost missed this show. Have been to every Philly/Camden show since my first at The Troc in 92/ I was shut out for the lottery and could not afford the crazy premium prices. Made a last second decision to take the 25 min el/subway ride from my home down to the arena and try my luck at the box office and scored excedllent seats in the club box section C! at 8:35 pm for a 190 bucks total , Face value. Needless to say Im, glad I did.

First time seeing them solo. First time I went to any concert for that matter by myself. Had a close childhood friend pass away last year who was always down to go to a concert with me.and was with him for 48 of my before Saturday night 55 PJ shows. along with a dozen Stones shows and mamy, many others over the years.

Was hoping to get Long Road and got it for only the second time. Think my friend had something to do with that somehow lol. Was in tears midway thru the song and total strangers were some the kiindest people Ive ever met making sure I was ok after the song. Feeling embarressed , I assured them I was, and they were just really cool people all from out of town  and rocked the fuck out the rest of the show with them.,I wasn;t by myself anymore, thats how these kind fols made me feel..

Philly crowd was the best as always and loved how Ed talked about that he had to ask the sound woman to turn up his vocals so he could hear himself over the roar of the crowd and made sure he got confirmation from regulars along the rail that he never said this before about any other city lol. Ed getting booed for bringing up Chelios was classic Philly lol.. Then when Ed started talking about the Gaudreau brothers and the crowd did a complete 180 in a matter of seconds you could have heard a pin drop in the building, Love my city. My 56th show easily breaks my top 15, probably top 10. and looking forward to tonights show. Will be there with both my children who are now 29 and 24, first time the three of us all going together.

Prediction for the opener is Release. Never been played in Philly for an opener and only played once when they did 10 in 2016 and only like 2, maybe 3 times over in Camden. Also thinking tonights show will top Saturdays. Number 2 always does in Philly. Check out he box office for tickets if youre on the fence about going tonight. They open around 4pm.

  • Unreal show!  I thought MSG crowd was loud but this one blew them away.  My 27th show and my son’s 1st.  He wanted brain of j and I couldn’t believe it happened.  Also red mosquito bc he bought the tour shirt with the red mosquito on it.  He had a great time!  The entire performance was just amazing and loved the set list top to bottom.  Pearl Jam makes me happy so I’m so grateful to have these experiences!  1 more tonight…

My quindiceria (my made up Italian word for 15th show).

Still digesting, getting ready for night 2. I think the biggest thing for Pearl Jam when they play in Philly, they really just want to ROCK! The set never really let up after Why Go/Brain of J. Really bangin' Brain of J by the way!

Long Road is always emotional. They played it in 2013 - not too long after my amazing aunt passed away. She was a Philly public school teacher and the most amazing person I ever knew. I know Eddie dedicated Long Road to his favorite teacher - the definitive San Diego version. But like everything Pearl Jam Philly, this Long Road wasn't sad but rocking - nobody could hold it down to its original somber state.

Won't Tell really stood out for me amongst the DM songs. They seem to have cut down on them - I sure hope Upper Hand and Stevie stay in the mix and that they bring back Got to Give! And definitely Setting Sun!

I believe that Red Mosquito may become the definitive version, a la In Hiding 10/30/09. Everybody screaming all the lyrics - What a crowd! I've seen concerts in other cities (cough Boston cough) - people sitting on their hands for any song that isn't from Ten or a radio hit.

Great to get RVM - I far prefer it to Porch. It gets me going crazy every time! In the encores, somehow that was my first Last Exit - always one of my fave album openers.

It was a killer Baba before and after Eddie kicked out the drunk dude. Nice that Indifference has returned.

Amazing show! I'll have to assess this one vs. Vegas 1 for my favorite of the year so far. Two more to go - tonight and Thursday in Baltimore. So blessed!
