A+ Setlist. As someone who grew up in Pittsburgh, it pains me to say this but, Very Happy for the Philly folks!!! 

I can see this show will be joining Seattle N2 on the list of boots I buy from this tour even though I was watching college football on my couch while they were taking place. (Though in Seattle's case, I suppose it was probably the NBA playoffs     )

It's gonna be awesome!  Last show for me this tour, what a run it's been! And how good did I won't back down sound?!  Ed nailed it and the crowd was LOUD!!!

Amazing show. It had been a couple of years since I had seen the band live and it was worth the wait. The big three - setlist, crowd energy, and band energy - were off the charts. I could hear the crowd signing Red Mosquito over the band, which is not something I thought I'd ever experience live. It felt like a fan club only show. I was surprised on the ride home to hear that several of the people that WMMR interviewed post-show said it was their first PJ live experience. For those folks, welcome and this one will be hard to top!

The Dark Matter songs were very good, but did feel a little out of place given the setlist (not complaining though - they were tight and Ed sounded great). I agree about the screen not adding much except during DTE when they played the video behind the band. That took the song to a whole other frenetic level and I loved it. It was also very cool when the cameras zoomed in on Mike going nuts during a solo. Still I kind of missed the vibe that we were surrounding the band and giving them a big sonic hug - and I definitely missed the potential of them "playing one for the back."

I was also really impressed with Glen Hansard. I haven't had much exposure to his stuff but that dude rocked! 

Only minor annoyances were the ill-timed piss breakers and beer runners. I was on the end of an aisle so I was constantly getting my toes stepped on and usually right in the middle of a song. Also to the bros who thought they would out smart everyone else in line for the men's room by going in thought the exit I hope karma isn't kind.

But man what a show. I got shut out of the 10c lottery and had been watching Ticketmaster for MONTHS waiting for a decently-priced ticket. I'm glad I stuck it out. Next to the Spectrum Halloween Show last night might have been my second favorite PJ experience. Thank you Philly!

It’s amazing how different people’s desires are. I look at this set, and totally agree that from the perspective of keeping up the energy, this set is incredible and includes some awesome rarities. But honestly, I’d have been a bit bummed not to see them play anything post Yield. 

Not meant as criticism, more as gratitude for the variety of songs they played at MSG. And also, I gotta say, I love that during this leg of the tour they really are completely changing up the sets and it feels like almost anything could get played (except Binaural!?)

Really glad this was the show so many were hoping for. Can’t wait for the party to continue on Tuesday and so much love for this band!

Was my 11th time seeing the band and I finally got to hear Red Mosquito live, which sounded amazing. New songs were perfect, especially React Respond, Wreckage, and Running. Getting both Breath and SOLAT was a rare treat, with “Crown” being the cherry on top. The band always puts on a special show in Philly, which is much appreciated by this Philadelphian!

Hopefully on Monday we get at least two of: Corduroy, Dissident, Garden, DOTC, Light Years

Fantastic show! My first Philly show did not disappoint! Killer setlist and the crowd was amazing. I was high up in 202, but everyone up there was singing every word (nice!)

So cool to get Red Mosquito and RVM. My son’s third show and he loved hearing Indifference and Baba. He commented on the show and how it was better than our Nashville/St. Louis run in ‘22, saying how crazy the energy in the room was. The crowd was into it!

Only thing I saw off was the three ladies in the row in front of me who sat through Chloe/Crown. 

We will be back on Monday night! Best band in the world!

In the jam band world there's an adage "Never miss a Sunday show"

In the Pearl Jam world its safe to twist this into "Never miss a Philly show."

Energy in the building was incredible.  My touring buddy since '98 and I were fortunate to be in the pit 4-6 deep Mike's side for this show and the two most recent MSG so fair to compare the 3 shows/2 venues.  Pit filled in earlier.  Everyone around was even more into the show.  You can tell just from the Glen Hansard set and how much earlier people showed up in the pit.  MSG felt a little wider from one edge of the floor to the other.  Wells Fargo felt like people in the lower level mid-arena seats were closer to the action.  Demographics of both venues pretty identical.  The Ed interludes about women's rights and importance of voting got a much more positive reaction in Philly than MSG.  Overall the crowd in Philly was louder.  A lot more singing along.  I usually wear ear plugs when I'm close to stage.  There were a couple moments where I popped them out and crowd singing along was so loud that it blended into the music.

Setlist was about as good as it gets for a post-2020 Pearl Jam show.  No dead spots (ie beginning of MSG N2 encore).  Very well constructed and kept the energy flowing and the crowd engaged. So many great songs:  Long Road, Red Mosquito, Breath, Chloe/Crown.  Crowd was really into the classic rarities like Breath and Chloe/Crown.  Couple songs before Chloe/Crown noticed there was a woman with a sign requesting it near front of Mike's side.  Right before going into it EV pointed right at her.  Really enjoyed some of the deeper cuts that don't show up in modern setlists as much:  Brain of J, MFC, Low Light.  The Won't Back Down EV solo to open the encore set was special.  Daughter w/ the Free Falling tag was nice too.  As they were building up to the tag section EV stepped away from the mic and up close you could see him practice the Free Falling part to get the timing right.  

Band was having fun.  Early in the show you could see Jeff studying the banners in the rafters of all the 76ers retired numbers that was directly in front of the stage.  Turned to my friend and said "watch, Jeff will be wearing some 76ers gear before the end of the show."  Sure enough he comes out for the encore in a Julius Erving jersey.  At one point Josh was hiding behind his set up taking videos of the crowd on his phone.  Mike and EV were into it and vamping for close up pics from the crowd.  Overall felt like interaction between the band and crowd was little higher in Philly than MSG.  EV joking with a couple asking him to save the date to play at their wedding.  If you had EV mentioning playing at Dobbs in the early '90s on your Philly show bingo card you remained undefeated (if some sports gambling site posts odds on "will EV say 'where the f*ck are we?  Are we in Philly?  Or are we in Jersey?'" you can make a lof of mone betting that one for Camden shows).  Couldn't tell what triggered the issue w/ the stoppage during Baba when EV tossed a guy out.  Big bald guy about 2 deep off the front of center stage.  Was during the tambourine toss section so not sure if there was a scuffle that triggered it.  Looked like EV thought the guy was out of it and did a mini mental status exam that the guy had trouble with.

Overall this is up there with the best of Philly/Camden shows.  And that says a lot given the history with these venues.  I've hit every Philly/Camden show since '98 and there are so many great ones to choose from.  I think this one cracks the top 5 for me.   4/29/16 Ten show will always be the pinnacle for me.  Next 3 up 10/3/05, 10/30/09, and 10/31/09.  I'll rotate the ranking order for #2-4 depending on what I'm in the mood for.  10/3/05 had no album to promote so a lot of great deep cuts/rarities.  10/30/09 just had great start to finish set list with a lot of energy and mix of classics with deep cuts.  10/31/09 had the length and some rarities mixed in.  I'll have to give it some more listens when the bootlegs come around but this show might slot into #5 for me.  Next ones in consideration 8/28/98 (their first Philly-area show in years), 4/28/03 (their first ever Spectrum; I still think Spring-Summer '03 peak touring Pearl Jam), and 9/14/22 (good deep cuts/rarities; maybe the best show of the '22 tour?)

I was sitting next to the stage last night. While Ed was talking about the Tom Petty song he was going to play, I yelled "Free Falling!" Of course he went on to play "Won't  Back Down", but when the daughter tag was "Free Falling" everyone around me started patting me on the back. So, you're welcome for that.

First show in Philly for this North Carolinian and it was off the fucking charts. Bravo to the crowd that lived up to the hype. Great, great show. Wish I could make it Monday but work beacons
