I'm still awaiting your answer on why Donald Trump killed the bipartisan border bill. Why does Trump want open borders?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iSffeEPRC0
6 Democratic Senators voted against the bill but somehow a former President, not holding any office, is responsible for it to fail? OK
You just pull numbers out of magaland? Hate liberals all you want but at least come at us with real data.Illegal crossings along the U.S. southern border fell to a 3-year low in June following President Biden's drastic move to curtail asylum and continued efforts by Mexico to stop migrants heading north, according to preliminary Customs and Border Protection data obtained by CBS News.
Border Patrol processed approximately 84,000 migrants who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border without authorization in June, the lowest monthly level since Mr. Biden took office in January 2021, when the agency reported just over 75,000 migrant apprehensions, the internal statistics show.
June's migrant apprehension tally was also the fourth consecutive monthly drop, continuing an unexpected downward trend in illegal border crossings that started in the early spring. Border Patrol agents recorded 118,000 migrant apprehensions in May; 129,000 in April; 137,000 in March; and 141,000 in February, according to public government figures. No matter how much it hurts you, you can’t run from facts. Kamala can’t hide from inflation or her role as Border Czar

What’s the harm of Democrats just admitting they want open borders? It’s a policy like anything else.
Biden/Harris rolled back all of Trumps policies on day 1. Stopped construction of the wall. Didn’t do anything for 3 years until polls showed people were concerned with illegal immigration.Trump campaigned that if Biden/Harris won this would happen! It’s no mystery. That issue wasn’t enough for people to vote Trump so the majority must be OK with 10 million coming across for the next 4 years as well. Just own it and move on.0 -

Trump brags about efforts to stymie border talks: ‘Please blame it on me’

Republican front-runner Donald Trump said he wants to be held responsible for blocking a bipartisan border security bill in the works in the Senate as President Biden seeks emergency authority to rein in a record surge of unauthorized border crossings.
“As the leader of our party, there is zero chance I will support this horrible open borders betrayal of America,” Trump told a rowdy crowd of supporters at a rally in Las Vegas on Saturday, ahead of the state’s presidential caucus on Feb. 8. “I’ll fight it all the way. A lot of the senators are trying to say, respectfully, they’re blaming it on me. I say, that’s okay. Please blame it on me. Please.”
Trump’s opposition follows Biden’s statement on Friday praising the deal and pledging to use its new authorities to “shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed” — a striking shift as he signaled openness to asylum restrictions and other enforcement measures that were previously unacceptable to Democrats.
“If given that authority, I would use it the day I sign the bill into law,” Biden said.
[Biden vows to ‘shut down’ an overwhelmed border if Senate deal passes]The increase in apprehensions at the southwest border has become a top-level policy challenge for the Biden administration and a core theme of Trump’s bid for a rematch this November. Biden’s management of the southern border and immigration is his worst-rated issue in polls, while survey respondents say they trust Trump more on the issue.continues.....

While I've personally known Cindy Brass for well over a decade now and consider her a friend, we couldn't be at more polar opposite ends of the globe when it comes to our political views on several topics. As for Seth Anderson-Oberman, we're on different planets.
And with that being said, I believe that every single American has a right to express thier views and if they desire, to run for office. How can anyone call themselves an American and not hold, value, and protect this core belief ?
What the PDCC did to Seth Anderson-Oberman and those who supported hIm is just one small, tiny, local, example, that isn't on 99 percent of the populations radar, the tip of the iceberg, of what is truly occuring within the Democrat party on all levels, and has been for some time now. If this incident that happened in Philadelphia isn't an example of facism, I dont know what is.
I'm glad you brought this up, because if I had, no one would listen or give a shit. I would just be labeled as a maga nut, a troll who isnt really who he says he is, a white supremicist, a racist, and so on. Some of this has already happened in this very thread.
I resigned my posistion along with a dozen others 6 months prior to the incident you brought up. Had already seen the writing on the wall, either fall in line or get out. Openly oppose and pay the price. Regret staying on as long as I did. Actually was asked for advice from those involved with this incident you brought up and told them exactly what would happen and respect the decisions they made. And we're on polar oppisite ends, go figure.
Roles flip over time. They always do. They already have in the past within our two party system of government. What makes people think it won't, couldn't, or maybe is in the process of heppening right now?
Go look up the defintion of facism, take a step back and outside the box, put all your personal views aside and ask yourselves who fits the defintion today, the Republican or Democrat party ?
I have considerd my self an Independent from the day I resigned and promised myself never to vote along party lines ever again.

Kamala HarrisSo I do not live in a border state and honestly, immigration is a bottom rung issue for me. I don't care. I can see how it's a bummer living along the border and having to deal with an influx of desperate people all the time, but I also think "they aren't sending their best" is a fallacy. If you walked through a jungle with a plastic bag full of possessions so you could come to America, work for minimum wage to send money home, you pretty much are the best. I say this as background, because I don't understand why no one can give an inch anymore. The arguments in this thread on both sides pretty friggin' true.
Isn't it true that Biden ignored the border for 3 years because the issue was fraught with racial politics that he didn't want to touch? Yes, I would say that is so.
Isn't it true that the issue finally grew onerous enough that when Biden was forced to address it, Trump spiked what seemed like a reasonable solution for purely political reasons? Yes, I would say that is true as well. And Trump's opinion was law with Rs. Architects/supporters of the deal fell in line against it when he said so.
Trump was so vile that it's hard to not reflexively be against everything he says, but to take that stance is to ignore some shit that just is actually true. As liberals we can't dismiss every complaint out of hand. It's OK to admit when our side is less than perfect - the Ds aren't competing against perfection, and it makes us look silly to take the bait all the time.
How about this - yeah Biden kinda sucked on the border, if that's your issue, but you know what, at least a President Harris will support free elections in 2028.

A small percentage might commit crimes, but I don't recall any of them storming the capital building under the orders of a madman, where 4 Americans died.0 -
Kamala HarrisThese people contribute to American life when they get here and we’re better for it. Fucking let em come. They pursue employment, many taking menial jobs to provide, jobs that US born citizens don’t take, they spend that money that they earn at American businesses. Pay for rent, pay for food. Putting the money back into the local community. It helps the economy. This isnt aimed at anyone In particular, but if you don’t think immigration, legal or illegal isn’t a boon for the US, you’re a dope.Post edited by Tim Simmons on0

There are issues with the process that encourage people to avoid going through it the proper way. If your spouse gets a pass and you don't are you really thinking I'll leave my wife and kids on their own in the USA for 11 months? Fuck no...I'm coming.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)
