Attention all intellectually honest people: I have noticed that if you present facts of incompetence, wrong-doing, bad policy, etc, of Harris/Biden, expect their supporters to deflect, deny or minimize.  Also, if you present facts from the 3.5 years Harris/Biden have held the White House, expect their supporters to say that is “old” news unless it is favorable to Harris/Biden. But they will go back to the beginning of time with their comments. Hilarious.

Denial is a defense mechanism that can describe when someone refuses to accept objective facts or experiences, especially when it's difficult to integrate them into their current thinking. It's an unconscious process that can protect people from anxiety or discomfort. Denial can be as simple as not believing someone is being truthful, or as complex as avoiding acknowledging weaknesses or desires.

In psychology, denialism is when someone chooses to deny reality to avoid believing in an uncomfortable truth. It can be an irrational action that prevents someone from validating a historical event or reality that can be empirically verified.

If you were “intellectually honest,” you’d answer the two following, basic questions:

    1. Did POOTWH legitimately lose the 2020 election? And,

    2. In what year do you figure that you’ll be replaced?

If you blame the Biden administration for the post pandemic inflation that impacted the entire world, you’re not in a position to lecture anyone about intellectual honesty.
exactly...please tell us oh great economic expert...is Biden responsible for global inflation too? Or just in the USA?

Harris is an empty suit. Without her teleprompter she is lost in the woods.  Right now, she is an actress, the same way Obama was an actor (as he as admitted to).  The low informed voters may fall for it, but most people won't. Hence, her huge unfavourability rating before she was anointed and the propaganda operation began.

As a prosecutor, Harris too often abused her office in just the way she decried as a campaigner.

When she talks about framing the innocent and hiding exculpatory evidence, Harris is either projecting or engaging in rank hypocrisy.

Some of Harris’ prosecutorial shenanigans are well-known by now. In 2010, a California Superior Court judge blistered Harris’ DA office for violating defendants’ rights by covering up detrimental information about a drug-lab technician. The judge concluded that prosecutors working under Harris had failed to fulfill their constitutional duty to tell defense attorneys information about prosecution witnesses that might challenge their credibility. The failure of Harris’ prosecutors led to the dismissal of more than 600 drug cases.

    Hiding information, indeed.

As California attorney general, Harris appealed a judge’s decision to remove the Orange County district attorney’s office from a death penalty trial after evidence emerged that the sheriff’s department had been operating an unconstitutional jailhouse snitch program. The program tainted more than a dozen criminal cases, several of them murder trials.

From Letter From An American. We know it hurts:

And they talked about Trump’s crimes. Representative Crockett asked voters which of the two candidates they would hire. “Kamala Harris has a résumé,” she said. “Donald Trump has a rap sheet.” Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) noted that Trump’s vice president Mike Pence is the first vice president in more than 200 years “not to support the president he served with in a general election.” "Someone should've told Donald Trump that the president's job under Article 2 of the Constitution is to take care that the laws are faithfully executed, not that the vice president is executed…. J.D. Vance, do you understand why there was a sudden job opening for running mate on the [Republican] ticket? They tried to kill your predecessor!" Senator Laphonza Butler (D-CA) told the crowd: “We deserve a president…who shatters the boundaries of what's possible, not the boundaries of what's legal.”

You didn't post your source...that would be intellectually honest.

No one is denying anything. Just don't come here with teleprompter crap. It's ignorant and doesn't fly.
Actually, the use of the teleprompter is important to me and many others.  It goes to point that she is fake.  She just reads words that someone else wrote. When she goes off prompter, which is very rare, we get to see the real Harris, uniformed and shallow.

Trump gets a lot of support for being real, flaws and all for everyone to see.  He is not a politician, unlike Harris. Politicians are a dime a dozen. Leaders are needed. Trump can lead, Harris can read.

Going off- script might be a plus to you, a MAGA supporter,  but every time he does he loses independent and women voters.  The crap he says is absurd.  Read it sometime.  It's lies and gibberish

I really believe that the lack of support from his prior admin should be front and center on a daily basis. Just proof that trump gets a pass regardless of how much he cries about being attacked.

I really believe that the lack of support from his prior admin should be front and center on a daily basis. Just proof that trump gets a pass regardless of how much he cries about being attacked.
If it was true that trump got a pass, then no one would be talking about the $10M bribe he got from Egypt back in 2016… oh… wait.

If you blame the Biden administration for the post pandemic inflation that impacted the entire world, you’re not in a position to lecture anyone about intellectual honesty.
    These are not serious people.

But it would be nice if some serious people would show up here to have an intelligent discussion. Alas, that ship has sailed away in the maga boat parade.

There really isn't any serious argument that can be made for trump. Arguments like "well things were just better under trump" just show blind cult loyalty/

So I watched from about 9:30 on last night. Pretty good opening night except for everyone other than Hillary and AOC talking waaaay longer than they should have.

No excuse to have Joe come on past 11 on the East coast. But I liked his speech too...however it is nice to know I will not have to keep my fingers crossed every time Harris speaks hoping she doesn't stumble over her words.

I'm not a huge fan of AOC but her speech was really good.

I really wanted to see Biden but he didn't come on until 1130pm my time. I'll probably stay up Thursday for Harris though.

PBS had the best coverage I thought. Not sure why some of the other networks weren't even playing Isbell's performance.

That's probably why there are no serious people defending him lol

LOL...trump is a politician. The worst kind. And if trump can lead so well why does no one from his administration support him?

Can you address that? Was it because he was such a great leader?
"no one". Who are you talking about? Trump got millions more votes in 2020 vs 2016, so lots of people liked his first term.
He lost the popular vote twice it’s not even close!
Go ahead post the charts links what have you the numbers don’t lie!

Imagine running on the promise of fixing all the problems that you and your party created in the first place.

    Unreal
Honest question. Why does no one from trump's admin support him?
Honest question. Why do all the people protesting outside the United Center hate Kamala?
This is an emotion based position.

Oh right,  we only do what Clooney says.  Before ER was on television,  there were zero liberals or Democrats.  Great call.
