Anyway, if you are anywhere near PA or any swing state, any little bit of volunteering will be hugely crucial. Second, so again, you are telling us that inflation was zero, but then Biden passed an act and randomly called it the "Inflation Reduction Act" and it caused inflation. Makes total sense. If he hadn't called it that, then there wouldn't be inflation either.
Is Bidenomics working? That's just a silly political phrase. I don't care about that. Is the economy healthy and inflation at 2%, slightly lower than the fed target? Yes. Yes it is. Can one attribute it to the laws passed? Maybe. You never know. Presidents are saddled with the economy whether it's fair or not. But I'm sure you know that too, from your extensive historical studies of cyclical economics and the political ramifications.Powell admits Fed got it wrong on inflation, says they should stop calling it 'transitory'
https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/powell-fed-wrong-inflation-not-transitoryGroceries are more affordable now than in 2019. So why are prices still such a hot-button issue?
For the average worker, grocery prices are about as affordable as they were pre-pandemic. But the costs are still a sore spot for consumers — and a focus in the 2024 election.
For more than two years now, higher prices have been pinching consumers’ wallets and testing their patience — but there’s at least one part of their monthly budget that has more breathing room these days: For the average U.S. worker, it now takes fewer hours of work to afford a week’s worth of groceries than it did five years ago, in August 2019.That’s according to a MarketWatch analysis of wage and inflation data that shows how the price of food relative to wages has fluctuated in recent years. In other words: Despite substantial post-pandemic increases in food costs, wages have now more than caught up with prices in this crucial spending category. And it’s easier for the average American worker to put food on the table than it was a couple of years ago.0 -

Last week, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen did something unusual for a Washington policy maker: She admitted that she’d made a mistake. In an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer about the U.S.’s persistently high inflation rate, Yellen said, of her predictions last year that prices would stay under control, “I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take.”
That she was. In March 2021, when inflation hawks were arguing that the Biden administration’s $1.9 trillion stimulus plan was going to overheat the economy, Yellen called the risk of inflation “small” and “manageable,” and a couple of months later said, “I don’t anticipate that inflation is going to be a problem.” She wasn’t alone. For much of 2021, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said that he thought inflation would be “transitory,” and even as inflation rose above 6 percent, the Fed kept interest rates near zero. (Its first interest-rate hike was not until March 2022.)

One other problem I see happening is that it will take way too long to get election results. it is going to be chaotic.0 -
I remember 2020. What happened in 2020 is Trump lost after being a total failure of a president. It took days to count votes because the Republican PA Legislature refused to allow counties to start before election day. And MAGAT thugs tried to throw my vote in the shredder. In court and with a filthy terrorist attack on the Capitol.
Why are people allowed to just blatantly lie on this website?
I believe counting will be better this time. Counties have figured it out and staffed up, and fewer people are voting by mail since it's not a raging pandemic this time. But if it's really close it still won't be decided on election night.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

Hey @teskeinc and @Philly NJ It would be great if you could translate Trump's comments from yesterday. Can you give this a shot? No, this isn't parody.
And then all of a sudden, you hear that they’re leaving Milwaukee or they’re leaving wherever they may be located. It’s very sad to see it. And it’s so simple. I mean, you know, this isn’t like Elon with his rocket ships that land within 12 inches on the moon where they wanted to land. Or he gets the engines back. That was the first I realized. I said, “Who the hell did that?” I saw engines about three, four years ago. These things were coming. Cylinders, no wings, no nothing. And they’re coming down very slowly, landing on a raft in the middle of the ocean someplace with a circle. Boom.
Reminded me of the Biden circles that he used to have, right? He’d have eight circles and he couldn’t fill ’em up. But then I heard he beat us with the popular vote. I don’t know. I don’t know. Couldn’t fill up the eight circles. I always loved those circles. They were so beautiful. They were so beautiful to look at. In fact, the person that did them, that was the best thing about his, the level of that circle was great. But they couldn’t get people, so they used to have the press stand in those circles because they couldn’t get the people. Then I heard we lost. Oh, we lost. No, we’re never gonna let that happen again. But we’ve been abused by other countries. We’ve been abused by our own politicians, really, more than other countries.
