the other guy's playing a rivera.

    ding ding ding

That's correct he is playing a Rivera.

and yes it is a Fender 212. It is a very solid cabinet. All ply, no particle board, I have two Vintage 30s loaded in it.

The pedals are: EH Holy Grail Reverb, TS808 reissue, Digitech Tone Driver (set to 808 mode).

On top of the amp is a Weber Minimass, speaker load mass, it is like a power attenuator that uses a speaker and a volume knob to control how much volume goes to the "real" speakers.

I use the two overdrives as clean boosts to really hammer the Ghia for the "amp about to explode" thick lead tone.

Ah. A Riveria Suprema 55. I couldn't see the logo. I really like both of those amps a lot. Rivera used to build amps for Fender so I know they nail the fender clean and the british overdrive is pretty sweet too. Chubsters have been a favorite of mine for a while. I'm considering trading.

I've heard good things about the webber minimass you really know your shit.

Vintage 30's have become my favorite celestion recently. Though I still like the breakup of greenbacks and blues.

I like the fact you can really crank the Ghia too. I love that sound.

However you are probably much more skilled than I am on the guitar.

I am trying not to devise a plan to get a different guitar or amp with my christmas bonus.

I have been through a lot of gear for my age, so I would like to just keep the gear I have for a while.

I sold it out of neccessity. I needed some money, and that was the most valuable item I could sell.

I miss it... although the SG is more comfortable to play.

My favorite tone, would have to be the tone of the 335 with the AC-15 and the 212 cab... that was a huge tone. That is also the first time I started using two overdrives in a row to get my lead tone...

I suggest people try that out.

I am torn between the PT SG if I can find one and a Cherry Red 335.

Well the SG is going to be about $500 less on average.

a 335 is really a wonderful guitar... I was always afraid when gigging with it though, everyone can tell it is really nice.

The PT SG is pretty understated, and doesn't look as nice as a shiny red 335. I had a black 335 but the same holds for that.

    I have a solution... get both :D

That's some nice stuff, for sure... tell me you still have the tweed Deluxe...??? That would be sweet to have... I would love a tweed Deluxe, Twin or Princeton. Serious mojo...

How was the P-90 loaded Ernie Ball? That seems like it would be a great guitar...
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

the strap was a christmas present. i love it and all, but i'm sure if it'll take the abuse i'ma give it.

i for one have good reason not consider my acoustics to be my "precious" -- they were both cheap garage sale purchases. but here's pics of both of them:

    www.chez.com/heinousity/guitar/camp1.jpg
this picture was taken moments before this acoustic was smashed. it was my first real six-string. i played it 'til my fingers bled, etc., etc. its time had come. i owned three other axes. and i get it for only $20.

    www.chez.com/heinousity/guitar/epiac.JPG
i got this one about a week after i got my v. my mom found it and picked it up. i guess she understands my need for more guitars.
