Okay, here's an idea:

post a picture of your precious instrument, the lassie that lies closest to your heart. Ad a wonderful story to it, if there is one.

If you don't have a pic of your own beauty, put one of a look-a-like (I'm sure you can find one on the net somewhere), allthough an original one is prefered.

To get the ball roling, here's my precious, my 1993 Fender American Standard Telecaster. I bought it second hand, but it was (is) mint.

http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL70/1496155/2855483/38920519.jpg

The guy who I bought her from was happy, cause he has a shitload of guitars and thought it was a shame that the guitar was just standing there, without being handled. I'm handling her now! She has a black pickguard nowadays (I 'customized' her), but I don't have a pic of that yet (looks awesome, trust me!). I'm sure you get the idea. This pic does make her look a bit more blue-ish than she is, she's more green-ish...

So euh, let's see your precious ones... and don't be afraid to get creative here!

I see... go for it, cause putting the maple tele on the strat would make the combination rather ridiculous...

this being said folks, don't hesitate to put your precious in the thread!

no you must not view the precious. MY PRECIOUS. :)
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

i don't think tele necks properly intonate on strat bodies anyway. the neck won't fit the pocket.

  • Here is a pic of me (on the right) with my beloved 1982 honeyburst Strat. It was traded less than a year after this pic for a piece of shit Yamaha bass, and I've been pissed at losing it ever since. I will never own a Strat again, until I find it or a close twin to it. I've had problems with this link in the past so it probably won't work...

you need to copy and paste the full links into an explorer window.

give us the text after "http://" so that the forum software doesn't truncate it.

or everyone just right click on the link and go to properties and copy the link that way.
  • Man, you guys get whinier and whinier every day here...

    Hey everyone,

Longtime listener, first time caller...err...first time poster. Anyways,
I hope to have pics of my ladies up in a week or so. My friends tell me I have too many guitars, what do they know? The one thing I lack is a pedal board...I was wondering what everyone uses? Did you buy one or make one? I was thinking of just getting some wood and velcro and making one.

Well, that's probably the cheapest option, assuming you have the know-how and motivation. Home Depot can cut you a good chunk of 5/8" ply, and you can get the velcro for cheap. Get a power supply, and you're set.

    Here's a cheap pre-fab that looks cool...

The small one is hella cheap, but it isn't very big. Maybe five pedals?

Anyways... there's no such thing as too many guitars. Just ask me... they call me Yngwie and I am proud.

Hhhhmmm...what to do, what to do. I like the cheap factor of making one, so that I can save up for my last guitar. Ok, probably not my last, but last one for a few years. But the pre fab one looks good too. It'd have to be the large one, I have 5 now, but am planning to get three more for sure, possibly four if I get this gate pedal....

yeah one of the master builders probably the head of the custom shop at that time. Isn't that thing beautiful. I'd have to hang it on the wall.

wow dude. I play my LP almost all the time now but it's only because the Peavy feels and sounds thin and weak in comparison. I love the tone the amp and my fingers are just begging for a better guitar. Strats sound amazing through that orange.

I love teles too. There is a gorgeous G&L tele on that site in the Butterscotch blond 52 RI color for 950. That's a steal.

    How about this baby

i play the 52 RI tele every time i go to the shop but i just can't do it. the neck is great but it's not quite right for me. i prefer the modern profile. but oh how i love teles.

they have a z carmen ghia but i haven't tried it. i hate playing in music stores so i also use their pod.

I love that color and tone, For whatever reason I like the way they look beat up. I'm gonna be a blues man yet. That Candy Apple Red color on teles. (Muddy Waters) absolutely intoxicating.

However I am such a sucker for sunbursts.
