Yeah. Lots of songs in 2006 were played way too fast… Given To Fly and Do The Evolution are two other examples.

I know this one is impossible because there are SOO many good ones out there, but what about Given To Fly?    This one is more recent but Italy, 6/25/2022 is up there for me.  the build-up leading to "Keely let me see them" gets me every time!

I will concede that I don't listen to too many of the shows from the Backspacer era.

Yeah, Given To Fly is tough...the later "pacing" issue can be a bit of a problem so I tend to go with earlier performances.

    Best performances of MFC...

    1. Camden 2000 (agree with the above)
    2. San Fran 2006
    3. Melbourne 1998*
    4. Newport 2012
    5. Champaign 2003

    *no Untitled intro
I probably should include LO2L version but the versions of Untitled and MFC are "Frankensteined" together.

Champaign 2003 is one of the best all-round 2003 boots too, for sure.

    A couple easy ones:
People Have the Power - Buffalo 2003
    Daughter / It's OK - Jones Beach 2000

Long Road 3/29/98 - Ed & Jeff with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan or PJ 7/7/2006 with dedication to Clayton Liggett.

You could pick any version of any song from the MSG shows 9/11/98, 7/8/2003, or 5/21/2010 and not be wrong.
Everyone should check out Daughter/it’s Ok from Virginia Beach 2000 if you haven’t.  My personal favorite version.

Whole show is intense and loaded with emotion (first show played after Roskilde)

Release and Oceans were both performed in Seattle in 2018... not sure if they'll be played there this year. An excuse to list the best (ie, my favourite) live versions of each....

    Release
    1. 2003 Bonner Springs (hi, dad)
    2. 2006 Verona
    3. 1994 Atlanta
    4. 1995 Chicago
    5. 2000 Seattle
Also, 1998 Melbourne, 2011 Buenos Aires, and 2012 Manchester UK.

    Oceans
    1. San Diego 2006
    2. Orpheum 1994
    3. West Palm Beach 2000
    4. Mansfield 2003
    5. Vancouver 2013
Also, Den Haag (maybe the best but not an official recording), Melbourne 2009, and, of course, Unplugged 1992.

One final special mention to Detroit 2014 where these two songs opened the show! WOW!

Mine, too… and definitely the most “meaningful” rendition of the tag.
