I wandered up to a merch booth after the show as they were closing up, asked what was left... not much of anything, but apparently the last Keychain in the building, lol. I thought that counted for something or other, so bought the damn thing.

Does anyone have an idea how many posters were left on Saturday? Hope some of them (like 100-200) make it on sale here!
99% sure 10c holds back a box of posters to sell. Approx 800. I heard this from the voices in my head and years of f5ing with other poster junkies to score some sweeties.

Great!! Now just to be in time for the launch haha. Previously, was it announced in advance?

I wanted the spectrum shirt long sleeved shirt or the green shirt or the mosquito shirt- went the second night in Vancouver and none of those were left , and no sizes for just the black one … bummed about that but the show was of course amazing! We were able to order concert merch after The Cure show so u was hoping Ph may do that too.
Wait - they didn't restock for N2? Was this just the trailer or inside the arena as well? Epic fail but Merch Jam if true.
Inside, i walked the whole stadium both levels and didn’t see at least 1/4 of the options they had Sat night. It actually seemed like the outside trailer had more options.

Any intel on the Retro trucker hat? Is it structured or unstructured foam front? High/meduim/low profile? Brand? Pre-curved? Any info would be appreciated!
I miss the days when you could just walk up to a merch table and buy whatever you wanted. Maybe a 5 minute wait at most. Nowadays it seems like every show I go to has long lines for merch. Are we just all super consumers now? I can't figure out what changed.

I think it depends on the band/artist and the venue staffing as well. I've been to some shows over the last couple years where there was little to no wait in the merch lines. The Offspring, Collective Soul, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins.

When were those days with Pearl Jam?
I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.

1996 and 1998 when leaving those shows although that may have been the end of it. Grabbed a poster and shirt on the way out of each.

I had a longer post written, but I think it boils down to the outside-the-venue merch. If you have to have a ticket to get in before you can buy, there's going to be far fewer people buying stuff (but then, the quantities might be more limited). That said, I love being able to get stuff well before the show and stash it in my car/room.
Like you, I had a long stretch between shows, during which time merch went crazy. My first show after that was Tampa 2016. We got to Amelie just after doors opened, saw the outdoor merch, walked up, waited behind two people, then bought a poster and shirts. Super easy. Fenway later that year (and every show since) on the other hand...

I remember in 2013 being able to walk right up to the truck in Phoenix and buying both posters. Then waited like maybe 15-20 minutes in line for the LA merch truck when it first opened in the afternoon a few days later. But it feels like the turning point was Wrigley 2013. I wasn't there, but that was the first time I remember seeing reports of people waiting 4+ hours in line for the outside merch truck. Now that's been the norm ever since.
That was insane in Wrigley. I went, and couldn't believe that there were people willing to wait for 5 hours in that merch line during that killer heatwave. My god it was hot!!! I still have nightmares about it, lol. Luckily, a cool but crazy couple willing to wait grabbed me that monster poster.... that poster that nobody wants anymore, haha!! Wrigley 2013 merch isn't exactly the hottest item, which is ironic.

I remember walking right up to the merch table in Charlotte 2013 and getting a shirt, etc. There was hardly anyone around it and it was 2 hours before the show.
I think having the merch available outside of the venue is what changed everything. Hundreds of people not attending the concert are standing in the same line as the folks going to the show.
I may try my hands at the inside merch only this tour, If I'm going to wait in line, I might as well just wait to get inside the venue, get my stuff and chill for a bit before the show.
