    Out of curiosity, why is there such interest in full album shows? Have always appreciated the unpredictability of a PJ show. If you ever get a full album, it's something special precisely because EV felt something calling him to arrange it that way. I personally thought Weezer, for example, advertising they were doing a full album performance on their tour earlier this year was kinda tacky, but that's just me.

    For me, likely because I've never experienced one before.  I see your point tho.  I chose those albums because the songs are rarely played.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they have 2-3 plans for any given month/leg, especially for the USA and that NHL/NBA playoff situations are a huge variable. (Toronto fucked them over, but whatchu gonna do?)

    In 2010, the rumor was they had 2-3 different cities for May 6th. When the Columbus Bluejackets failed to make the playoffs, that opened up the date in Columbus. State College was apparently also scheduled that same day, as was some city in Texas. (That would have been interesting because May 7th was Noblesville and May 9th was Cleveland.)

    If that rumor is true, maybe the Columbus date meant a show in Noblesville between 2003-2024 and a Cleveland date between 2006-current.
    Hey if they need a place that won’t have any playoffs look no further than Toronto! Raptors are historically bad and Leafs are already booking their tee times.  

    The easy fix is to do things before playoff unpredictability, but I don't think the band necessarily agrees.

    If I had the chance to get paid to tour around Europe almost every summer...it'd be hard to pass that up. But it also sucks for the USA. That's a lot of time the USA is essentially in a blackout.

    Typical times of when/where they tour.
    Jan = off
    Feb through April = Australia/NZ/South America
    April through May = USA
    June through July = Europe
    August through September = Off or USA
    October = Off
    November =  The same as Feb-April
    December = Off

    For having unpredictable setlists, the touring schedule is sort of the opposite.

    I hate full album shows. Way too predictable and lazy.

    Back when they were playing 30+ songs, I could see it being kind of fun. But nowadays it would be half the show and depending on the album, a majority of the audience wouldn't know a majority of the songs. 

    I think it was a fun OTOTO for those cities that got them. But I don't think they could pull off the ones they haven't done yet unless it was a fanclub only show.

    I've seen a few... some were advertised in advance (Pixies / Doolittle, Primus / Seas of Cheese, QOTSA / Self Titled); some weren't advertised, but people knew they were playing the album front to back at the shows (RNDM / Ghost Riding) and I also saw PJ play spontaneously play Ten in Philly. 

    I dig unpredictability too, but IMO there's also something cool about hearing the songs played in album order, the way we listen to the record at home... idk, maybe that's lame, but I enjoy it every now & again... wouldn't want to see it every time on every tour, but if it's an album I love, yeah... it's a fun novelty.

    I was lucky enough to have seen two album shows (No Code and Yield) in Moline and Milwaukee and they were both jaw dropping amazing. It helped that both shows played may top two favorite Pearl Jam albums, but the excitement from the crowd knowing that they were getting the full albums was electric. I will be very jealous of the city that gets Vitalogy if the band ever decided to play it front to back. Thought for a few minutes that Indianapolis was going to get it this summer.  
    Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

    Can confirm that that tour was great this year. Killer lineup for the price. Saw two dates. Seeing SP, GD and then PJ at MSG all in a 48 hour span, made my little Gen X heart so happy.

    Green Day seems to always put on a good show. They are underrated and it is unbelievable to me that I first saw them 30 years ago, even before Pearl Jam. 100% agree that Pearl Jam records need to marinate through many listens to appreciate the songs. Dark Matter is a good record, and I am amazed they keep putting new material that I want to listen to. I also think the Earthlings record was superb. As far as 2025 goes, history tells us it could be a very light year for shows. No one really knows at this point. Let the tour finish, enjoy the holidays, and let's see what happens.

    This is exactly my feeling.  I'm thinking maybe 10-12 show cities across the planet in 2025?  No actual tours, but a bunch of standalone concerts.  That's my guess.

    And I hope everyone has amazing holidays.  The "higher ups" are trying to keep everyone stressed and divided.  No thanks.  Let's relax, have fun, and enjoy life with loved ones.

    Best thing you have said yet in this thread. Get outside, smell the leaves, the ocean, the city, and go for a walk, roast a turkey, a ham, a tofurkey, wherever you are. Invite friends and neighbors. There will be shows, but every weekend is an opportunity to enjoy what is around you.

    I hear you bud, but im one of the few that really never connected with Faithful, pilate and lowlight.....whilst i love Yield - they tend to drag the album down a little for me, especially live......Its still a gem. I just think DM is totally cohesive and there is really nothing that I do not like on it
