Yeah, I think it's an early underrated song as well.
Does anyone happen to know why the full lyrics for it aren't in the liner notes like the other songs?1998: Noblesville, IN 08-172000: Noblesville, IN 08-182003: Noblesville, IN 06-222006: Cincinnati, OH 06-242010: Noblesville, IN 05-072016: Lexington, KY 04-26, Wrigley Field 2 08-222018: Wrigley Field 1 08-18, Wrigley Field 2 08-202022: St. Louis, MO 09-182024: Noblesville, IN 08-26, Wrigley Field 1 08-29, Wrigley Field 2 08-31

This one was on repeat today. LOVE IT! This is the kind of love song I love. All relationships are complicated. But it comes to the point “That we are better together, you and me!”5/3/92 Omaha, NE

Force of nature is the best song on Backspacer - lyrics are incredible and music is great - it’s really a lost song - hopefully the blow the dust off and play itPJammer4life said:Placement before the end of the album reminds me of Force of Nature, another underrated gem…Really great song…If I were Eddie Vedder, would you like me any better? - Local H0 -
I was just listening to "Got to Give," and thinking about how it reminded me of "Force of Nature." I came to the board looking for the "Got to Give" lyrics that were posted from Apple Music, saw this post and couldn't agree more.PJammer4life said:Placement before the end of the album reminds me of Force of Nature, another underrated gem…Really great song…I gather speed from you fucking with me.0 -

Reminds me of a 90s sitcom theme a bit"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

Got To Give is such a banger. It ends up in my head daily. This is going to be awesome live.
I never got in to The Who, but since I'm loving this song, I might check them out. Anyone have a recommend album to start with?I'm spinning, oh-oh-oh I'm spinning0 -
I'm by no means an expert with their discography but 'Who's Next' could be a good place to start - includes some of their well known songs such as Won't Get Fooled Again, Behind Blue Eyes and of course PJ cover-favourite Baba O'Riley.MikeDigs said:Got To Give is such a banger. I'm not much of a The Who fan. Find them kind of boring. But I really enjoy Who's Next. Like @a@alexross42 mentionedMikeDigs said:Got To Give is such a banger. It ends up in my head daily. This is going to be awesome live.

As mentioned, Who’s Next is a great place to start. Their live album ‘Live at Leeds’ is also regarded as one / if not the greatest live album ever.MikeDigs said:Got To Give is such a banger. It ends up in my head daily. This is going to be awesome live.

Who’s Next and Quadrophenia are great places to start. I also really like their first album - My Generation.MikeDigs said:Got To Give is such a banger. It ends up in my head daily. This is going to be awesome live.

I don't see anybody really talking about this one. What a great mid-tempo rocker! I'm guessing if it appeared on any other post 1998 album, everybody would be talking about it. But amongst the other greatness on Dark Matter, it's not getting much notice or praise. Reminds me a little of a Cropduster meets Unthought Known. Great track!Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river0
