This song has one of my favorite moments from any album ever.  So good.  Had to figure it out.

    (Play it loud in headphones).
So, while Eddie does that awesome "REEESPOOOOND" scream at 2:52, midway through the scream Matt's got the fills going, and Mike activates guitar tone at 2:55 with those couple of ghost notes, all during Eddie's scream.  Almost if Mike was saying "no worries Eddie, I got this".  As the scream ends, Mike steps in with a couple more notes, as the band then begins the next bar of music, now full force with Mike absolutely shredding.

Are you kidding me with that?  I'm consistently mind blown by how cool that guitar solo entry is.  Very stylish.

Then, did you hear that laugh at 3:01?  This album is full of awesome surprises.

Anyone else hearing a little, subtle reference to Baba o' Riley just before the chorus? Great song! Starting to really like it.

Funny, I'm probably digging this song the most, but know it the least because Ed's vocals are so fast on it.
Sounds great and will keep playing it till I can sing every word along with him. :)

I absolutely LOVE this one. I do think Ed is harnessing the count from Sesame Street during his “don’t react, respond” yells later in the song, but it doesn’t take away from this song just flat out rocking!  Even makes it a little endearing.
yeah I don't like that part...Ed sounds bored or something.

When this song ends, I press repeat.  It flows so nicely back in to itself  =)  I can't get enough

I dig the song but am thrown off every time the "as the light gets brighter as it grows" part comes in.  It just seems to cut against the grain of the song and disrupt the flow.  Similar to the "when every thought you're thinking" part of My Father's Son.

I don't know what that is at 3:01 but it doesn't sound like a laugh to me. Love the song though. Love them all.

Ed's scream on this gives me life
  • I find myself singing “they’re whippiiing” just before the chorus. Fits so well.

I keep thinking the line is "Juliet, respond!!" I know it isn't but i can't stop picturing Romeo screaming up at Juliet's balcony, and the song is now a Shakespeare interpretation to me, lol. Love this song!

Shocked how many people love this track. Easily one of my bottom three on this album.

Interesting take, not the song ranking, but being shocked.  This album is so good, that any set of 3 tracks is still great, or at worst decent.  So how could anyone be shocked if people love any of these amazing tracks?

I love the riff...don't love the "react respond" repeat near the end. Kind of surprised that made it through the edit. The ending is straight out brutal.

It's going to be great live

Gives me Evacuation vibes, parts are good, chorus is not. Probably my least favorite, next to Something Special.
