33 years in and these guys still enjoy making and performing music together. what a great kinship they have. love seeing it and appreciate so much that they are still doing this. Can't wait for the shows.
Fucking incredible interview. Mike seemed quiet but great stuff
Mike primarily speaks with his guitar at this point. Words are secondary now. Give him a guitar and he won't be quiet
Yeah Mike defo seemed like he wasn't in as good form as the others but hey sometimes you just aren't. He did well to stick it out if that was the case-he is so likeable though that his not on form is nicer than a lot of guys on good form.
Hope they do Leatherman and some Mirrorball stuff on tour. I prefer when they do originals as opposed to covers for rarities but Mirrorball songs aren't covers for mine.
Great interview. They must have gotten a truck taking all the stuff from MOPOP to the warehouse. Being there in their space-their HQ-is pretty special and I'm glad Zane was able to convey how special it was for him to be there. That and Tool's loft would be front teeth stuff for me.

I'm still in awe at this interview. First off, Zane Lowe, at least from the interviews I've seen him conduct, always brings it regarding knowledge, integrity, and fandom of the individual/group he's chatting up (most recently with Bono and The Edge in an RV on their way to Vegas before U2's Sphere residency started).
So many great moments, but the one that got me was at the end when Ed talks about the sealed letters he found in one of many storage boxes. One to his late brother and one to Jeff & Stone. He unsealed the one to his brother and it said he was about to perform his first gig with PJ at The Off Ramp in about an hour. The other one to Jeff & Stone remains sealed. Goosebumps! I fuckin' love this band.

This is just brilliant! Was gonna call it an interview but it feels so much more than just an interview, maybe because of the warehouse tour footage, glimpses of all that amazing memorabilia and song snippets - its almost like a mini documentary but this is a REAL treat for Pearl Jam fans!
This looks like a band that is psyched about this record and loved the process, love playing together and playing together live.
Love these new album moments we get, what a great time to be a fan!

That was the best interview/documental the band has ever made!
By far!
So many great stories, get to see the warehouse was WOW, and see the guys enjoying themselves.

I loved that interview!!! I liked that it was about the warehouse and the journey of the band. It was so great to see Pearl Jam happy as a unit and eager to create more music. Can’t wait for Saturday. Let’s go!
Leatherman at one of my 11 shows would be great. Love that song

Fucking incredible interview. Mike seemed quiet but great stuff
Yeah, to the point of being irritated or annoyed. Just my read on it. Just so used to him being affable and energetic.
Very much enjoyed this and the Stern longform interviews with the entire band. But man, Eddie can stretch what should be a fairly short reply into a very long-winded retort!
I think they'll do it privately and we may only get a casual story about it in an interview years down the road. But we'll never get the whole letter. Especially if its heartfelt.

Good interview.
When they kept referring to it as "The Ocean," minus the "I'm," I wondered if maybe they were talking about the Led Zeppelin song...
