Whatever the reason they did it, it was really prescient of them to do it before 2020 (which would have been the 15th anniversary).

I was thinking of checking out the Beacon. I saw him for the Graceland tour and he has so many good songs. I have a few presale codes. I may give it a try. I expect that tickets will be pricey though.

I saw Gaslight Anthem at Pier 17. It is an amazing venue - as long as it is not raining. Spectacular views of downtown Manhattan.

Saw Stephen Pearcy with "Quiet Riot" opening in November. He put on a good show and it was great to relive those songs live again. 🤘

I saw Pearcy, "Quiet Riot" and Vixen (didn't arrive in time for "Riley's LA Guns") Jan 2024. He was celebrating 40th anniversary of Out of The Cellar so played the whole album (moved Round and Round out of its spot to the end). Was pretty good.

Quiet Riot had only Rudy Sarzo from the band's heyday (who I guess had left and come back recently) and ironically had Jizzy Pearl singing who once fronted Ratt when Pearcy had left.
And Vixen had only drummer Roxy Petruzzi form their heyday.
Lots of these 80's bands are mostly shells of their past lineups.

See that Warren DeMartini is playing a festival show with Pearcy in May. His inclusion makes the show that much better.

While Paul Simon retired from touring in 2018, he’s not actually done playing shows, and he’s now announced his “A Quiet Celebration Tour.” The shows will feature the live debut of his 2023 album Seven Psalms, and according to a press release, they’re happening “in intimate venues where the acoustics are optimal in consideration of the severe hearing loss that he incurred over the last few years.” Most cities have multiple nights, and you can see all dates below.

I was thinking of checking out the Beacon. I saw him for the Graceland tour and he has so many good songs. I have a few presale codes. I may give it a try. I expect that tickets will be pricey though.
Did you end up going for it?!? I had great seats carted for 2 nights in Vancouver and just couldn’t do it for $680/pair. There are still decent seats sitting so apparently I’m not the only one who got sticker shock. If the VIP seats up front don’t sell and drop to standard price eventually I might reconsider.

My friend's boyfriend is working on the tour. He is a sound guy. She said there was a good chance I could get in with them. She just can't guarantee until the week of the show to find out how may tickets he can get. So, I am holding off buying tickets, and if she ends up not being able to get one for me, I will see what is available closer to the show dates.

The VIP seats already started switching to standards for the regular sale today. Just couldn’t pass these up 😮
Should be plenty more where those came from slowly trickling out.
