fascinating to see how different people's tastes are. do not understand how "Let The Records Play" appears on so many weakest lists. I love it, especially the intro.

Glad to see it’s pretty universal that “Buckle Up” is not good.

...and yet it's still better than any country song, so that's cool.

It will 😂. Someone else here on the board (can’t remember who) pointed it out years ago and I’ve never been able to unhear it

fascinating to see how different people's tastes are. do not understand how "Let The Records Play" appears on so many weakest lists. I love it, especially the intro.
I wasn't crazy about pre-chorus-chorus of "Let The Records Play" and "Infallible" the first number of times I heard them.  Then I read a review on either this board or Red Mosquito that described those parts of the song as sounding like they belong on the opening credits of a 90s Family Sitcom, and that nailed it for me.  Picture either of those as the backing track for quick cut shots of John Stamos, The Olsen Twins, Bob Saget and you'll see / hear what I mean  :open_mouth:

I don't think there's a single PJ song that I don't like in it's entirety from start to finish--there are always highlights in all of them, but there are only a handful of songs where the parts I don't like are enough to ruin the whole song for me.

To your point, the intro and outro of LTRP are very good.

I was not a fan of LTRP at all until  I heard/saw it live in Memphis in 2014.    Completely different song for me at that point and now it's one of my favs off that boot.  Mike rules.
