Lost my seniority?

Was lucky enough to win a few shows. I have a pretty low 10C number, 106xxx and have been treated to many great seats over the years. For this tour it seems as if I lost my seniority for the shows I was picked for. I'm way back on the floor at Baltimore and Philly while I'm seeing people with way higher numbers post their seats and they are better than mine! Talking to people with similar #'s as me I would think I would be near them! Yes my 10C number is correct when I log in on here!! Happy to be in the building of course and can't wait but just wondering what may have happened and did it happen to anyone else! Emailed the 10c but no response. All the seats were P1.
Thanks for listening!

If your number is still the same in your account, it sounds like the mistake is on someone else, not you. Wait for a response from 10c, but maybe just verify your last membership payment went through. Again, if your 106xxx number is still in your profile/account, it’s likely not your error.

Contact the Ten Club (politely) with the specifics of your seats and the details of the other members who you believe got better placement. They probably won't be able to re-allocate your seats, but they may give you other concessions. (This happened to me in 2009. The concessions essentially offset the price of my ticket for the show where they screwed up.)
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

Thanks for the info BF...I was definitely polite when contacting the 10C. I emailed tickets@tenclub.net. Hope that is correct.

I could be wrong here but if you had a low 10c number but got selected for p2 then you could still have worse seats than in the past. All the best in sorting this out.

It’s only random getting picked for the shows. Seating should be by seniority. P2 is something different. I believe this is the first year they offered P2 but they made it clear where the seats would be.

I don't think it really matters. I have in the mid 100s and have had "bad" seats and on a couple of occasions good seats and other times didn't win. People with higher numbers than me have had better seats throughout the years.

No, seats are assigned based on seniority, as they have been in prior years. Seniority is not relevant for obtaining tickets, or for the GA section. But sometimes they screw up when assign the seats.

I did not pick P2 and the seats are on the floor where P2 were uppers.

ST66483 is right. Seniority doesn't determine P1 or P2. What did the confirm email say? The original one earlier in the week.
  • I thought things were all random for a while now?  My friend is 92xxx and got pretty terrible P2 seats for Philly.  Am I missing something or by your logic should he have had better seats (or GA)?

Getting picked is random. Seniority comes in when assigning seats within a category. If there was a P1 and a P2 option, a low 10C number for P2 is still going to be worse than a high 10C P1.

Had he got P1 seats, his number would have got him good seats in that category. But there was the random element of getting picked out of the hat to overcome first.

There's also an unknown element, which is how the seating is prioritised by TM. Some people would say that being on the floor is always better than in stands. Others would disagree. We don't quite know how TM determines that. So what could be bad seats for one person (in their opinion) might be perceived by the system as being better seats.

I thought things were all random for a while now?  My friend is 92xxx and got pretty terrible P2 seats for Philly.  Am I missing something or by your logic should he have had better seats (or GA)?
It’s only random getting picked for the shows. Seating should be by seniority. P2 is something different. I believe this is the first year they offered P2 but they made it clear where the seats would be.

ST66483 is right. Seniority doesn't determine P1 or P2. What did the confirm email say? The original one earlier in the week.
    Pat…I got all P1s.

Then I agree something is off.
Yea I’m assuming. Appreciate your responses/questions.

I was responding to the person who was talking about their friend with P2 seats and a low 10C number. Their situation is not the same as your situation. Their situation is more easily explained away.

I'd expect your seats to be worse than they have been in previous years. Because of the introduction of the premium tickets, pretty much all 10C tickets have been worse than they used to be, no matter how low a number someone has.

However, you should not be getting worse seats than other 10C members with higher numbers. If that is happening, it's a problem.

I don't think it really matters. I have in the mid 100s and have had "bad" seats and on a couple of occasions good seats and other times didn't win. People with higher numbers than me have had better seats throughout the years.
Definitely, I agree. But the seats I got are way off! That’s the only reason I’m asking.
On average my seats are in the 200s. But in 2022 I had sec F and in 2010 I had row z I believe behind the GA people

Seniority comes in when assigning seats within a category.  Enough said.  I've been around this board too long and for too many tours.  I need to stop torturing myself reading people trying to explain the logic of it all. If you were lucky enough to secure tickets at face value without all the TM fees, enjoy the show.  I've been to many and have never been disappointed.
  • All I can say is TM is doing this now. 😒

Yes exactly. P1 should give me better seats than other people in P1 with a higher number correct? Just asking a legit question. If you read I said I’m happy to have tix but just looking for an explanation.

There are multiple examples of seniority not being properly applied within same seating areas, whether or not they reallocate is another story. It was done last year, but some are saying it’s too late now that tickets are in our TM accounts. I am waiting to hear from 10C as well. Happy with my seats, but they aren’t what I expected and you are not the only one not sitting near similar member numbers in same seating area.

Why are people trying to convince this guy he got the right tickets?

There was clearly a mistake and his seats should be much better. End of story. Good luck OP, I hope they rectify this for you.
