    Within hours of Trump’s signing the bill into law, Gun Owners of America and a number of other pro-gun organizations filed a lawsuit claiming the measure makes the 1934 National Firearms Act (NFA) unconstitutional. That law regulated machine guns and short-barrel guns by imposing a tax on them and making owners register their weapons. The Supreme Court upheld that law as a tax law. The budget reconciliation bill ended those taxes and thus, the plaintiffs claim, the constitutional justification for the law.   

    In a press release, Gun Owners of America said its “team in Washington had been working behind the scenes with Congress since the November 2024 election to fully repeal the NFA,” and that the new law had teed up their lawsuit against the registry it called “an unconstitutional relic.”

    Seriously man? No argument here he is not a good pres, but seriously? Is the goal to be the Washington Generals of politics?

    In comparison, a centrist posts that AOC is dishonest about DEI because she publicly makes fun of men and that gets ripped here, while attacks on him, complete with cursing etc. and disgusting imagery are ok?

    yearn for tolerance. We get to vote next year. Convince the majority your cause is reasonable then and again for the big prize in 28.

    not sure puss filled head attacks is the way to go.

    similar to NYS which was +28 dem twelve years ago and 2024 only +12 with the bad trump on the ticket, and hochul won by six in 2022. But everyone on the ultra left yells “hey look at mamdani” and forgets to see the bigger truth, that they are losing voters in droves in democratic regions.

    dems couldn’t even win the election/ democracy debate in the last election. As a party we need to get real.

    Maybe the centrist Dems, who control the party, should listen to new ideas like maybe those from the “ultra left” who just put up a well liked candidate for the biggest city in America through connection, likability and simple proposals to make their life better.
