plus this sitting down crap stinks

eh finish this week up and rest your voice for the east ed

no, but it'll be a unique experience compared to what we're used to.

i'm equally excited about my intimate little show with ed and then rocking out on the east coast!

I would choose to see Vedder solo this year if I could. Who knows if he'll ever do something like this in the future? I'm sure he will at some point, but it's still very unlikely to be able to see something like this, while you'll have a chance to see Pearl Jam for years to come.

I'll let you know how it was after I get back from California next week. ;)

If I had the choice, I would go to the EV solo shows.

I have seen a ton of PJ shows, but never an EV solo show, so the choice is easy for me.

exactly. this is something different. and east coasters that have to put it down just come across as bitter.

They do not make us choose, they give us Pearl Jam shows and Ed shows. Ed shows involve an acoustic guitar and a loop. SO no comparison is even needed. Think of Ed shows as the icing.

I'm good at hooking up people with tickets, hopefully the concert gods will return me some karma I spread at Wembley last year!

why either/or .... when, you can do both!

2 EVs and 4 PJs on the itinerary this year.

Agree with the post above .... if we are talking just this point in time, I'll take the EV show, it was pretty damn amazing last night.

But, if given the choice of only one for, say, the rest of my life .... I go with PJ.

I would have to say Eddie at this point, only because I have been to a ton of PJ shows. There is nothing like seeing a songwriter and his guitar with a smallish audience, just puts out more emotion I think.
Thats a lovely accent you have. New Jersey?

    Totally agree.

I mean Ed opening for Pearl Jam at the Vic was by far the best opening act I've ever seen for PJ. ;)

Now I just can't wait to see a full show by EV.

same here.....i having been jonesing for a pj show since '06....but i hate festivals and am not big on traveling so i have to wait until they play west coast dates later this year ;) in the mean time, i'm gonna enjoy ed in an intimate venue play some fucking amazing music....:)

There is nothing like a Pearl Jam show. I think we can all agree to that BUT these Eddie shows have been really special. There is no choosing to be done. One thing is with Pearl Jam, they can change up the songs more but with just Eddie you get the ITW songs.....there's more talking and carring on with the audience. It's just very intimate. So, I will take both and remember them forever.

Yesterday they released tickets at the Berkeley show on TM and at the venue. Just keep checking TM and get to the venue early. I think this has been happening every night.
