No limits in Indy after the cancelation likely has something to do with it as well.
I arrived on the scene at half past noon. The line at that point went all the way to the end of the parking lot. They were already sold out of stickers, flags and other things half an hour after the merch stand opened. Nobody checked tickets or anything. The security was there to keep the peace and laughed at people leaving with huge amounts. That was before the cancelation. The entire merch stand probably sold out on that day. I am not a collector but if I like something I would like to have at least a realistic chance. People have gotten more rabid in the recent years, maybe because the band does not tour as much.
Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue!
