    Was sick for about a day and a half last week after STP1 & 2.  Felt like bad allergies or a cold but cleared up quickly.  Quit testing a few days after I felt better, so not sure if I had it or not.  Felt like the last time I had it, but I didn't test positive that time until after I felt better so who knows?

    My wife went to urgent care today because she sits with our 91 year old neighbor. Apparently not covid or flu but is respiratory in nature.

    Why is this still a thing? If you are scared of the Rona, stay home. You have a better chance of getting in a car wreck and dying then COVID. I would be more worried about that. Live your life and enjoy yourself, life is short. Don't live in fear of something that we have a 99.99 percent chance of survival.

    These are all people who are saying they were just in a room with 20k people. I think they are enjoying themselves and I wouldn't say they live in fear

    It really is only a "thing" for people who get so BENT when others are concerned about their health. You can still live and enjoy your life while not wanting to get a virus that has recently killed many people. Don't check this thread if it bothers you so much. Pretty simple...

    Yep. I keep seeing people ask why if it was COVID they didn't just say it was COVID. Reading some of these posts I fully get why they might not have.

    Another one....smh.... people like me who are vaxxed AREN'T AFRAID OF DYING....duhhhh... or we wouldn't be at shows. It's not 2020-21.... most of us don't want covid cause we don't want to feel like crap or have long covid.

    The other consideration is RSV...

    Over a million people in the US have died from Covid. If your 99.99% number was accurate, that would mean 10 billion people live in the US. Seems off a bit.

    Don't be daft. The common cold doesn't kill anyone. COVID is still the seventh-leading cause of death in the U.S. in 2023.

    It is also not the flu. Between 2010 and 2019, the flu killed between 12,000 and 61,000 Americans per year. COVID has killed almost 1.2 million Americans in three-and-a-half years.

    COVID is still serious, even if it's not the danger it was in 2020, 2021 or even 2022. That doesn't mean that you have to shut yourself inside your house and avoid all human contact-- although there may be some people at high risk who have to be extremely careful-- but it also doesn't mean you shouldn't take simple, common-sense precautions to protect yourself and others, like quarantining when sick or wearing a mask when in a crowded environment for an extended period of time or when experiencing the symptoms of a respiratory virus. It's common sense AND common courtesy.
