Do people actually use items like Pearl Jam duffel bags outside the house?
Yes and no. I wouldn’t necessarily use it for travel or work, but I still use my reusable red PJ cloth bag I got at wrigley 2013 as a beach bag to put snacks in for my kids. It’s been 10 years so this would be a nice upgrade. And it will be on display in the house when not in use, so I would definitely get more use out of it than another poster or something like funko pops.

I use the koozies and the last PJ backpack they had, the Seahawks color one.

There was a post on the Facebook a few days ago where a teacher posted a pic of the 03 PJ laptop bag that a student was using for school, apparently it’s been in the family for a long while and had been used by older kids in the family when they took it to school as their book bag. Santos confirmed it was the crew variant, not the one sold at the the shows, and it’s stupid rare.

Anyone remember those shirt designs where it was a double set of eyes on birds and stuff? I hope that never comes back.
I like the green shirt. Hoping for some inspired posters with no eagle or skull motif. Felt like Ed Hardy was designing the band's posters for a while.

Gotta love the fact that it is 2023 and bands can still get away with selling merchandise that could be designed using Microsoft Word 1996.
Like for real. Some of these shirts and hoodies are laughable.
The shirts have been uninspiring for such a long time. They need new blood in there. The Foo Fighters usually always have great shirts. I can’t even tell you the last time I bought a PJ concert t.
The hoodie they are selling for these new shows is God awful. A junior high schooler could come up with something better.
I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.
This stuff is really disappointing. I have been hoping for a curved bill hat but that design is just awful. It looks like someone made it in their basement.
For people who wait in line for merch early before the show, how fast do the posters usually sell out? If merch opens at noon and I get there from work right around noon are my chances of getting posters still good?
Depends on how crazy it is at a specific place. Last year in Nashville people waited like six hours for merch, and I am sure the posters were gone by the end of that. I waited like two hours in OKC and got a poster. In Denver I got in line when it opened and they had tons of posters by the time I got to the front. It's a combination of how many people are waiting and what people think of the poster. I would say most times if you got in line at 12 you'd be OK, but it would also be a gamble.
I took my son to Nashville. His first PJ show and I gave him the choice to explore the city or wait in line. He chose wisely. We explored the city and had a blast. We showed up to a side door at the arena, 5:45 for a 6:30 open (I think). Walked in behind about 40 people and directly into a merch table. Waited about 15 minutes in line and snagged the poster. Very happy. This might not always happen (although two nights later we repeated this same tactic in St. Louis).
Typically 7 inch basketballs have a wider indent for the black lines compared to a men sized bball. So my first thought was mini bball, but i certainly could be wrong.

I was in nashvilles line at a decent time and in a good spot but the opening just kept getting pushed back and back. I felt like I’d spent too much time to leave so I waited it out, not as bad as some who spent 6-8 hours in line. But STL, I lined up before doors opened and walked straight to a table. That’s the method this year unless I get bored in Chicago which isn’t likely

Wow, very surprised at the dislike of the merch. After years of skulls and weird-eyed animals it is refreshing to see straight-forward graphics. I like the green shirt, the Vs shirt, the surfer cat shirt. Heck even the college logo-style grey and blue Tiger shirt is cool in its simplicity. I like the blue PJ hat. I agree that PJ hats are stiff and boxy but I prefer that over a slouchy 47 Brand hat. The basketball and the duffel bag look very cool but I wonder if they won't measure up in the quality-construction department. Sticker/badge and key chain are awesome.

I'm still in search of that Nutsack Vulture shirt from Chile that year...
