The longer we go the more likely it will be JK. But...my vote is for The Swell Season. Ed's buddy Glen and his buddy Marketa. Their tour wraps up in LA on 8/27, so plenty of time to get to STP for night 1.

If they are going to use openers going forward they should at least find other relevant 90s bands to open that are in their genre. Ones that can't headline arenas anymore. You know alternative rock bands from their era. Some of the openers they have chosen, yikes, they don't belong at a Rock concert

I mean I guess it's a strategy to drive us to the merch lines 🤷

Deep Sea Diver is BAD ASS. One of my favorite bands of all time. Seen them lives every chance I've had. Jessica is a hero up here in the northwest.

    Who didn't belong?
Also, who are these relevant 90s bands that would open?   I'd think any relevant band from the 90s would make more money headlining their own tour.  Admittedly I do not really dig these two bands opening but I did give them a listen.

For bands like PJ I always figured an opening slot was about giving a band exposure, showing respect for an influence, or a having a friends on tour slot.

Yeah me either.  It wasn't a fair shot yet, but initial impression was not great.
