Face Value Ticket Exchange (F2F)

That's the problem. Ticketmaster can lower the price but the consumer isn't allowed to compete by lowering the price, which drives up the overall price of the "premium" segment.goblues82 said:
Why would anyone go to a 3rd party site to pay 3x face value when you could just go on Ticketmaster and do it?Kwieneke said:
as SHZA pointed out to me the other day, the band implements f2f, which serves the purpose of not being able to change ticket prices. no doubt that it sucks people probably won't be able to unload these seats. but on the flip side, it leaves people without having to go 3rd party and spend 3x what a ticket is worth at face value. pros and cons I guessEdved007 said:
such a racket... they can underprice the "face value" ones that are sitting there at $800+ to make theirs look good by comparison while the folks that impulsed bought them at higher prices will never be able to lower their selling price to compete.SHZA said:And a new batch of Indy premium up. Surprisingly affordable
they really need to let people that bought the “premium” tickets lower the price. There’s no way you’re gonna get $500 for a seat when there is a $161 seat next to it. Sure they should have never bought them in the first place but locking them into the “all or nothing” sales is wrong. Especially when Ticketmaster can lower or raise the price of their inventory at any time.0 -
I completely agree they should be able to lower the price but if f2f and premium pricing is the way to keep scalpers from having their way with EVERY ticket available, then it is what it is and we have to adapt and not jump on tickets that are $800 a piece. again, pros and cons. it will never be a perfect system but being able to lower your own price would be a step in the right direction.goblues82 said:

There’s plenty of tickets available for every show except Indy at face value, so it’s kinda getting old with the “ticket scalper” boogie man. Anything that you could make a profit on… lowers/ GA should have went to ten club members in the first place. I also think some people that bought $500 “PJ Premium” tickets have listed them on the 3rd party websites for what they think they can get because Ticketmaster has given them no choice but to try to get back some of their money.0
