No complaints here, in the door for face. Considering I paid 900 for a pair of Aerosmith tickets today at the Forum in LA for the same seats I had for LA night 2 last year I have no problems with face tickets.

Do "they" (whoever they are) automatically assume that lower level tickets are better than level 200 at United Center?

Nope. I emailed them and the response was tickets will be released a couple weeks before the show. Not sure if I believe that or how I feel about it

We’re really not getting tickets only our seat assignments. Mine said that we will have access to them later. Those tickets won’t be available until they know If there’s a problem again.
Just heard back from TM about ticket claiming process. They said tix will be available after the new TM neural implant is rolled out in late May. Surgery dates will be available via a lottery, praying for Dallas night 1

We get it bud. You're on TM's side in this. People who have been members for 15+ years getting the worst seats they've ever gotten but you're on the corporate monopoly's side.
I'm on the side of reality and the fan club that I've benefited from for 23 years. There are a lot of reasons why our seats are worse than ever before. Yes, some of that is Ticketmaster and their premium seating, but it's also because they obtained a much larger number of club tickets than ever before and because there are so few shows for members to choose from. They had a choice between having more members in the building or having fewer members with better seats. They chose the former. If they chose the latter, there would have been people complaining they didn't get tickets at all. They can't win.

Chi night 2 moved from 231 row 6 to 117 row 18. Both were behind the stage. I was concerned about moving way up, but the first night was basically an equal trade and this one might be a little better. Instead of the being in the corner it is dead in the middle and 100 instead of 200.

How would you know any of that with any degree of confidence? Not buying it man. At the end of the day it comes down to the almighty dollar, and TM can make more of it if they don't give a shit about the "real fans."

I’ve never been a Chicago show before but that seems fine to me. It looks like they did a good job fixing things and hopefully take this lesson and realize that it is not necessary to immediately award seats so quickly. Better to take your time and get it right.
I also understand that the trade off to more 10C seats is that many of them will be in the upper decks. This is a business for all sides and that’s the compromise.

Agreed, and this is not a regular tour, nor are these stadium shows. This is a smaller tour playing smaller venues than baseball stadiums.
When a normal-ish tour happens, there SHOULD be more dates and venues, and less demand, so some seats will get better. But that said, this is also how they have rolled recently, so we shall see.

Is it just me or does this seem to be a primarily chicago show issue? If so, could it be chalked up to a simple supply and demand issue? Chicago was obviously going to be the most popular stop on this abbreviated tour, hence more 10c members pushed further back? I think it’s more a function of a 9 show tour rather than how the 10c process works. But that’s just my two cents.
I had three sets of tickets come through today.. St. Paul 2 and then Chicago 1 & 2. Seats were all worse, but the bigger head scratcher is I claimed my first pair and they weren't in my TM account. Played around a bit, and then just for kicks logged into my wife's TM account on a different computer and there they were. My tickets, my email, my 10C number wound up in her TM account. Not the end of the world but what the hell... so then before I claimed the others I made absolutely certain I wasn't logged into her account on any device, etc....well long story short the other two sets wound up there too. So all three sets of my tickets are now in her TM account.

You may have been logged in as her when you made the initial ticket request? Who knows.
